耶和华打断了恶人的杖和管辖者的权杖——它们曾在盛怒中以不停的猛击来击打万民；在怒气中以无情的逼迫来辖制列国。

恶人必然难逃罪责，但义人的后裔必蒙拯救。

啊！万民的咆哮，他们咆哮好像海洋的咆哮！万族的喧嚷，他们喧嚷好像洪水的喧嚷！万族喧哗虽像大水的喧嚷，但神必斥责他们，他们就远远逃跑；他们被追赶，如山上风前的糠秕，又如旋风前的尘土。

乌西雅的孙子、约坦的儿子犹大王亚哈斯年间，亚兰王利汛会同利玛利的儿子以色列王比加上来攻打耶路撒冷，却不能攻下。有人向大卫家报告说：“亚兰已经与以法莲结盟了。”王的心和他子民的心就摇动，好像林中的树随风摇动。

于是耶和华的使者出去，在亚述的营中击杀了十八万五千人；清早人们起来，看哪，所见的都是死尸！

它将出去迷惑在大地四角中的列国，就是歌革和玛各，召集他们参与战争；他们的人数多如海沙。他们上来布满了宽阔的大地，包围了圣徒的营地，就是那蒙爱的城。可是有火从天上降下来，吞灭了他们。

因此耶和华的话语对他们就成了“命令加命令，命令加命令；条例加条例，条例加条例；这里一点，那里一点”，致使他们走路时向后跌倒摔伤，陷入圈套被缠住。

你所看见的那十只角，是十个王，他们还没有得到王权，然而他们要得到权柄，与那兽一同做王一段时间。他们目的一致，把自己的能力和权柄交给那兽。他们将要与羔羊交战，而羔羊将胜过他们，因为他是万主之主，万王之王；与羔羊在一起的，是那些蒙召唤的、蒙拣选的、忠心的人。”

如果有人猛烈攻击你，那不是出于我；谁攻击你，谁就会因你而仆倒。

你继续观看，有一块非人手凿出的石头，砸在这像的铁和泥的脚上，把脚砸碎了。这样，铁、泥、铜、银、金都一同被砸得粉碎了，就像夏天打谷场上的糠秕，被风吹散，无踪迹可寻；但砸这像的石头却变成一座大山，充满全地。
