Forasmuch as this people have refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

“因为这子民厌弃西罗亚缓慢的流水，却喜悦利汛和利玛利的儿子；

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜歡利汛以及利瑪利的兒子，

「這百姓既厭棄西羅亞緩流的水，喜歡利汛以及利瑪利的兒子，

「因為這些人拒絕接受我如西羅亞河緩緩流水般的溫柔照顧，反倒因與利迅和利瑪利的兒子結盟而歡喜，

“這子民既然厭棄了西羅亞緩流的水，卻喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子，

『這人民既棄絕了西羅亞緩流的水，而在利汛和利瑪利的兒子面前軟化下去，

「因為這子民厭棄西羅亞緩慢的流水，卻喜悅利汛和利瑪利的兒子；

斯民厭棄西羅亞緩流之水、而悅利汛與利瑪利之子、

大闢之族、馭下以寛、若示囉之水、其流漫衍、斯民棄之而悅服哩汛及哩馬利子、

斯民棄緩流之示羅亞水、而悅利汛及利瑪利子、

“ Because this people has rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoices over Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

“ I am like the gently flowing stream of Siloam. But the people of Judah have turned their backs on me. They are filled with joy because of the fall of Rezin and the son of Remaliah.

“ Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that flow gently, and rejoice over Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

“ My care for the people of Judah is like the gently flowing waters of Shiloah, but they have rejected it. They are rejoicing over what will happen to King Rezin and King Pekah.

Because these people rejected the slowly flowing water of Shiloah and rejoiced with Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

“ Inasmuch as these people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah And rejoice in Rezin and the son of Remaliah;

“ Inasmuch as these people refused The waters of Shiloah that flow softly, And rejoice in Rezin and in Remaliah’s son;

Because these people rejected the slowly flowing waters of Shiloah and rejoiced with Rezin and the son of Remaliah,

Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

“ These people have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah and melt in fear over Rezin and the son of Remaliah.

“ Because this people has refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam( which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

And the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.

Shall the snow of Lebanon fail from the rock of the field? or shall the cold waters that flow down from afar be dried up?

And now what hast thou to do in the way to Egypt, to drink the waters of the Shihor? or what hast thou to do in the way to Assyria, to drink the waters of the River?

Now therefore, if ye have dealt truly and uprightly, in that ye have made Abimelech king, and if ye have dealt well with Jerubbaal and his house, and have done unto him according to the deserving of his hands( for my father fought for you, and adventured his life, and delivered you out of the hand of Midian:and ye are risen up against my father’s house this day, and have slain his sons, threescore and ten persons, upon one stone, and have made Abimelech, the son of his maid- servant, king over the men of Shechem, because he is your brother);if ye then have dealt truly and uprightly with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.

Therefore as the tongue of fire devoureth the stubble, and as the dry grass sinketh down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of Jehovah of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

And now ye think to withstand the kingdom of Jehovah in the hand of the sons of David; and ye are a great multitude, and there are with you the golden calves which Jeroboam made you for gods.Have ye not driven out the priests of Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and made you priests after the manner of the peoples of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods.But as for us, Jehovah is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and we have priests ministering unto Jehovah, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites in their work:and they burn unto Jehovah every morning and every evening burnt- offerings and sweet incense: the showbread also set they in order upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of Jehovah our God; but ye have forsaken him.And, behold, God is with us at our head, and his priests with the trumpets of alarm to sound an alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against Jehovah, the God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper.But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them.And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind them; and they cried unto Jehovah, and the priests sounded with the trumpets.Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.And the children of Israel fled before Judah; and God delivered them into their hand.And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men.Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon Jehovah, the God of their fathers.

And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart trembled, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the forest tremble with the wind.

And he made two capitals of molten brass, to set upon the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.

For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel;
