Then they will look toward the earth and see only distress and darkness and fearful gloom, and they will be thrust into utter darkness.

Then they will look at the earth. They’ll see nothing but suffering and darkness. They’ll see terrible sadness. They’ll be driven into total darkness.

And they will look to the earth, but behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish. And they will be thrust into thick darkness.

爾曹且訪問觀察、有男曾產子乎、今見人各以手支腰、面變青色、若將產之婦、此何故歟、哀哉大難之日、無可比擬、此乃雅各遇災害之時、後必獲救、

君遂命僕繫其手足、執而投於外幽暗之地、在彼必有哀哭切齒、

惡人行惡而見逐、善人臨死而有望、

必自光明見逐於黑暗、必被驅出乎世界、

人當求法言及證詞、若不循此而言、則不得見晨光、

此時之難後、日即晦冥、月不發光、星隕自天、天象象或作勢震動、

當此時、列國居民、大遭擾亂、人之出入、不得平康、此國與彼國互相攻擊、此邑與彼邑亦然、蓋天主降諸災以亂之、

故其途若在幽暗中之滑處、被驅逐而傾仆、在當罰之期、我降災其身、此乃主所言、

爾曹欲主之日速至、則為有禍、主之日幽暗無光、何欲其至哉、譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室手倚墻壁、為蛇所噬、主之日豈非幽暗無光、晦冥無耀乎、

日月星辰、必有異兆、地上諸國、困苦顛沛、海波澎湃、人思將臨於世之事、而恐懼喪膽、因天象震動故也、

今國雖受苦、必不永居幽暗、昔時主使西布倫拿弗他利受凌辱、其後主又使沿海之地、約但河濱、異族之迦利利、復得尊榮、
