我若出往田間，就見有被刀殺的；我若進入城內，就見有因饑荒患病的；連先知帶祭司在國中往來，也是毫無知識。

「不可毀謗神；也不可毀謗你百姓的官長。

因此，主必使大河翻騰的水猛然沖來，就是亞述王和他所有的威勢，必漫過一切的水道，漲過兩岸；必沖入猶大，漲溢氾濫，直到頸項。以馬內利啊，他展開翅膀，遍滿你的地。」

四月初九日，城裏有大饑荒，甚至百姓都沒有糧食。

你在仇敵圍困窘迫之中，必吃你本身所生的，就是耶和華－你神所賜給你的兒女之肉。你們中間，柔弱嬌嫩的人必惡眼看他弟兄和他懷中的妻，並他餘剩的兒女；甚至在你受仇敵圍困窘迫的城中，他要吃兒女的肉，不肯分一點給他的親人，因為他一無所剩。你們中間，柔弱嬌嫩的婦人，是因嬌嫩柔弱不肯把腳踏地的，必惡眼看她懷中的丈夫和她的兒女。她兩腿中間出來的嬰孩與她所要生的兒女，她因缺乏一切就要在你受仇敵圍困窘迫的城中將他們暗暗地吃了。

正說話的時候，使者來到，王也到了，說：「這災禍是從耶和華那裏來的，我何必再仰望耶和華呢？」

你的土產和你勞碌得來的，必被你所不認識的國民吃盡。你時常被欺負，受壓制，甚至你因眼中所看見的，必致瘋狂。

人被大熱所烤，就褻瀆那有權掌管這些災的神之名，並不悔改將榮耀歸給神。第五位天使把碗倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就黑暗了。人因疼痛就咬自己的舌頭；又因所受的疼痛，和生的瘡，就褻瀆天上的神，並不悔改所行的。

他的妻子對他說：「你仍然持守你的純正嗎？你棄掉神，死了吧！」

你且伸手毀他一切所有的；他必當面棄掉你。」

四月初九日，城裏有大饑荒，甚至百姓都沒有糧食。

你且伸手傷他的骨頭和他的肉，他必當面棄掉你。」

吃奶孩子的舌頭因乾渴貼住上膛；孩童求餅，無人擘給他們。素來吃美好食物的，現今在街上變為孤寒；素來臥朱紅褥子的，現今躺臥糞堆。

餓死的不如被刀殺的，因為這是缺了田間的土產，就身體衰弱，漸漸消滅。慈心的婦人，當我眾民被毀滅的時候，親手煮自己的兒女作為食物。

其餘未曾被這些災所殺的人仍舊不悔改自己手所做的，還是去拜鬼魔和那些不能看、不能聽、不能走，金、銀、銅、木、石的偶像，又不悔改他們那些凶殺、邪術、姦淫、偷竊的事。
