没有信，就不能得到神的喜悦；因为来到神面前的人，必须信神存在，并且信他会赏赐那些寻求他的人。

第二天早晨，众人清早起来，出发到提哥亚的旷野去；他们正出去的时候，约沙法站起来，说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你们要听我的话；信靠耶和华你们的神，你们就必坚立；信靠他的先知，你们就必亨通。”

不错，他们因为不信而被折下来，你因着信才站立得住。只是不可心高气傲，倒要存畏惧的心。

所以，各位请放心。我相信神对我怎样说，也必怎样成就。

因此，以色列的圣者这样说：“因为你们弃绝了这话，反而信赖欺压和乖僻的手段，更以此为倚靠，所以这罪孽对于你们，必像一道有了裂缝，且凸了出来，快要倒塌的高墙，在顷刻之间，就突然倒塌。它的倒塌好像窑匠的瓦器破碎一般，毫不顾惜被彻底粉碎，甚至在碎块中找不到一块，可以用来从炉里取火，或从池中舀水。”

暗利用六十公斤银子，向撒玛购买了撒玛利亚山。他在山上建造一城，按山的原主撒玛的名，给他所建造的城起名叫撒玛利亚。暗利行耶和华看为恶的事，比他以前所有的王更厉害。他行尼八的儿子耶罗波安的一切路，犯了耶罗波安使以色列人陷在罪中的那罪；以他们虚无的神惹耶和华以色列的神发怒。暗利其余的事迹，他所行的和他所表现的英勇事迹，不是都记在以色列诸王的年代志上吗？暗利与他的列祖同睡，埋葬在撒玛利亚。他的儿子亚哈接续他作王。犹大王亚撒第三十八年，暗利的儿子亚哈登基作以色列王。暗利的儿子亚哈在撒玛利亚作以色列王，共二十二年。

“这子民既然厌弃了西罗亚缓流的水，却喜悦利汛和利玛利的儿子，因此，主必使大河又强又大的水临到他们，就是亚述王和他一切威荣，水必涨起来，高过所有的水道；水要泛滥，漫过所有的河岸；然后必冲入犹大，涨溢泛滥，直到颈项，以马内利啊！它展开的翅膀必遮遍你广阔的地土。”

但百夫长宁愿相信船长和船主的话，却不相信保罗所说的。

犹大王亚撒利雅在位第五十二年，利玛利的儿子比加在撒玛利亚作王统治以色列共二十年。
