“ And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

“ When they go out of Jerusalem, they will see the dead bodies of those who refused to obey me. The worms that eat their bodies will not die. The fire that burns them will not be put out. It will make everyone sick just to look at them.”

必飲天主盛怒之酒、乃無所攙雜者、斟於天主盛怒之杯、又必受苦於火與硫磺中、在諸聖天使及羔之前、彼受苦於火中、其煙上騰、永遠不熄、拜獸與其像、或受其名之印誌者、晝夜不得安息、

寢於地之塵埃者、多有復醒、其中有得永生者、有永受羞辱者、

爾之榮華、爾之琴瑟、爾之琴瑟原文作爾琴瑟之音今降於示阿勒、爾下以蛆為褥、以蟲為被、

其手執箕、簸其禾場之麥、斂麥入倉、而焚糠以不滅之火、○

我見一天使立於日中、向空中飛鳥大聲呼曰、來、集於至大天主之盛筵、食君王之肉、將帥之肉、勇士之肉、馬及乘馬者之肉、自主者、為奴者、無論大小、皆食其肉、我見獸與世之諸王及其眾軍咸集、欲與乘馬者及其軍戰、獸被擒、偽先知曾於獸前行異跡、誘惑受獸印誌及拜獸像者、亦同被擒、二者生投於硫磺火坑中、其餘見殺於乘馬者口中所出之劍、鳥食其肉而飽焉、

倘爾一手使爾陷於罪、則斷之、爾殘缺入於生、勝如兩手而入於磯很拿不滅之火、在彼、蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一足使爾陷於罪、則斷之、爾跛足入於生、勝如有兩足而投於磯很拿不滅之火、在彼、蟲不死、火不滅、倘爾一目使爾陷於罪、則抉之、爾一目入天主國、勝如有兩目而投於磯很拿、在彼、蟲不死、火不滅、蓋凡人必醃以火、凡祭物必醃以鹽、

但彼畏怯者、不信者、可憎者、兇殺者、淫亂者、有邪術者、拜偶像者、與一切言誑者、必受苦於硫磺火坑中、此乃第二次之死、○

蓋主將行刑、以火以刃、懲罰凡有血氣者、遭主戮者甚多、

猶太人殺主耶穌、及己之先知、又窘逐我儕、彼不為天主所悅、且與眾人為敵、阻我儕訓異邦人、使之得救、如是、其罪惡常盈、天主之盛怒必臨之、終必遭刑、

惟彼列邦、攻繫耶路撒冷、主必降之以災、其災如是、足尚能立時、其肉必腐爛、腐爛或作衰又作消下同其目必腐爛於眶、其舌必腐爛於口、

善人見惡人遭報、必然喜悅、必濯足於惡人之血中、彼時人必云、善人果有善報、在世間真有判斷之天主、

居以色列諸邑之民、必出而拾器械、即干、盾、弓、矢、梃、杖、槍、矛、焚以為薪、用以燃火、歷至七年、彼無庸取薪於田、伐木於林、惟燒器械、昔敵攘之、今反攘敵、昔敵刧之、今反刧敵、此乃主天主所言、當是時我將以地賜歌革、為其墓之處在以色列地、即海東之谷、素為通行之所、今行人止而不過、人埋歌革與其軍眾在彼、遂稱其地曰、哈們歌革谷、或作當是時我將在以色列中賜歌革一地為埋彼之處其地名往來谷在海之東因埋歌革與其軍旅以致行人斷絕其地必稱歌革軍旅谷以色列族埋之、以潔其地、歷至七月、始畢其事、斯地一切居民、埋其屍骸、我顯榮之日、彼必以為得聲名之日、或作斯地一切居民埋其眾以是日為有名之日即我得尊榮之日此乃主天主所言、必選數人、命之巡行斯地、助彼行人、埋所遺於地之屍、以潔斯地、歷七月、必巡察斯地、行人過於斯地、或作往來之人通行國中見人骸骨、則立標於旁、待埋者埋之於哈們歌革谷、哈們歌革谷或作歌革軍旅谷其邑亦名哈摩那、哈摩那譯即眾多之義彼潔斯地必如此、○

晝夜不滅、煙焰永遠上騰、歷世荒蕪、無人經行其間、至於永遠、

如伊及族不上不至、雨必不降於其地、列邦人、凡不上而守居廬節者、主必降以如斯之災、伊及人、列邦人、凡不上而守居廬節者、必受斯罰、

爾曹必遺惡名、蒙我選者、指以詛咒、主天主將殲滅爾、以新名賜於其僕、

有權勢者必如麻縷、彼所造者必如火星、二者同遭焚燬、無人撲滅、
