Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

No one’s ears have ever heard of a God like you. No one’s eyes have ever seen a God who is greater than you. No God but you acts for the good of those who trust in him.

From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him.

For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!

For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, Nor has the eye seen a God besides You, Who acts in behalf of one who waits for Him.

How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you. In the presence of everyone you have acted for those who take refuge in you.

But as it is written, What no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has conceived— God has prepared these things for those who love him.Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, since the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth and is patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.

On that day it will be said,“ Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the LORD; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.God wanted to make known among the Gentiles the glorious wealth of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God’s love,and to know Christ’s love that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.Now to him who is able to do above and beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us—to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

I wait for the LORD; I wait and put my hope in his word.

I wait for your salvation, LORD.

And most certainly, the mystery of godliness is great: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

But they now desire a better place— a heavenly one. Therefore, God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

See what great love the Father has given us that we should be called God’s children— and we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it didn’t know him.Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when he appears, we will be like him because we will see him as he is.

This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.This grace was given to me— the least of all the saints— to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ,and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.This is so that God’s multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.

The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the person who seeks him.It is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD.

Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father; inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.

For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God’s sons to be revealed.

so that you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore the LORD is waiting to show you mercy, and is rising up to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. All who wait patiently for him are happy.

There was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking forward to Israel’s consolation, and the Holy Spirit was on him.

Then he showed me the river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lambdown the middle of the city’s main street. The tree of life was on each side of the river, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for healing the nations,and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will worship him.They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.Night will be no more; people will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will give them light, and they will reign forever and ever.

Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.I also saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.Then I heard a loud voice from the throne: Look, God’s dwelling is with humanity, and he will live with them. They will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them and will be their God.He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.

Not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the firstfruits— we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.Now in this hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?Now if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with patience.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him.

I did not see a temple in it, because the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.
