The LORD has sworn with his right hand and his strong arm: I will no longer give your grain to your enemies for food, and foreigners will not drink the new wine for which you have labored.

耶和華指著自己的右手和大能的膀臂起誓：「我絕不再把你的五穀給你的仇敵作食物，外邦人也不再喝你辛勞所得的新酒。

耶和華指己右手、及其有能之臂而誓、不復以爾之穀、給爾仇敵為食、爾所勤勞而得之酒、外人不復飲之、

耶和華具全能、有大力、指己發誓、爾之五穀、爾之酒漿、皆勤勞而得、自是而後、必不使仇敵食之、異邦人飲之。

主指己之右手及大能之臂誓曰、我不復使爾之五榖、為爾敵所食、不復使爾勤勞而得之酒、為異邦人所飲、

The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm:“ Never again will I give your grain as food for your enemies, and never again will foreigners drink the new wine for which you have toiled;

The Lord has made a promise. He has lifted up his right hand and mighty arm. He has promised,“ I will never give your grain to your enemies for food again. Outsiders will never again drink the fresh wine you have worked so hard for.

The Lord has sworn by his right hand and by his mighty arm:“ I will not again give your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners shall not drink your wine for which you have labored;

The Lord has sworn to Jerusalem by his own strength:“ I will never again hand you over to your enemies. Never again will foreign warriors come and take away your grain and new wine.

The Lord has sworn by His right hand and by His mighty arm:“ I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies, Nor will foreigners drink your new wine for which you have labored.”

People will build houses and live in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.They will not build and others live in them; they will not plant and others eat. For my people’s lives will be like the lifetime of a tree. My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands.They will not labor without success or bear children destined for disaster, for they will be a people blessed by the LORD along with their descendants.

Whenever the Israelites planted crops, the Midianites, Amalekites, and the people of the east came and attacked them.They encamped against them and destroyed the produce of the land, even as far as Gaza. They left nothing for Israel to eat, as well as no sheep, ox, or donkey.For the Midianites came with their cattle and their tents like a great swarm of locusts. They and their camels were without number, and they entered the land to lay waste to it.So Israel became poverty-stricken because of Midian, and the Israelites cried out to the LORD.

A people you don’t know will eat your land’s produce and everything you have labored for. You will only be oppressed and crushed continually.

Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat any of it. Your donkey will be taken away from you and not returned to you. Your flock will be given to your enemies, and no one will help you.

Say to them,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore an oath to the descendants of Jacob’s house and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt. I swore to them, saying,“ I am the LORD your God.”

Your land is desolate, your cities burned down; foreigners devour your fields right in front of you— a desolation, like a place demolished by foreigners.

They will consume your harvest and your food. They will consume your sons and your daughters. They will consume your flocks and your herds. They will consume your vines and your fig trees. With the sword they will destroy your fortified cities in which you trust.

then I will do this to you: I will bring terror on you— wasting disease and fever that will cause your eyes to fail and your life to ebb away. You will sow your seed in vain because your enemies will eat it.

I raise my hand to heaven and declare: As surely as I live forever,
