因為從裏面，就是從人心裏，發出惡念、苟合、偷盜、凶殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、謗讟、驕傲、狂妄。

殺人流血，他們的腳飛跑，所經過的路便行殘害暴虐的事。平安的路，他們未曾知道；

因為，他們的腳奔跑行惡；他們急速流人的血，

愚妄人的思念乃是罪惡；褻慢者為人所憎惡。

因你們的手被血沾染，你們的指頭被罪孽沾污，你們的嘴唇說謊言，你們的舌頭出惡語。

「看哪，以色列的首領各逞其能，在你中間流人之血。

你地上不再聽見強暴的事，境內不再聽見荒涼毀滅的事。你必稱你的牆為「拯救」，稱你的門為「讚美」。

這就是你們自己證明是殺害先知者的子孫了。你們去充滿你們祖宗的惡貫吧！你們這些蛇類、毒蛇之種啊，怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？所以我差遣先知和智慧人並文士到你們這裏來，有的你們要殺害，要釘十字架；有的你們要在會堂裏鞭打，從這城追逼到那城，叫世上所流義人的血都歸到你們身上，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在殿和壇中間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止。我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪都要歸到這世代了。」「耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死那奉差遣到你這裏來的人。我多次願意聚集你的兒女，好像母雞把小雞聚集在翅膀底下，只是你們不願意。

我又看見那女人喝醉了聖徒的血和為耶穌作見證之人的血。我看見她，就大大地希奇。

惟有你的眼和你的心專顧貪婪，流無辜人的血，行欺壓和強暴。

惡謀為耶和華所憎惡；良言乃為純淨。
