They are always in a hurry to sin. They run quickly to murder those who aren’t guilty. They love to think up evil plans. They leave a trail of harmful actions.

就是高傲的眼目、撒謊的舌頭、沾滿無辜人血的手、

因為從裡面，就是從人心裡發出種種惡念：淫亂、偷竊、殺人、通姦、貪心、惡意、欺詐、好色、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、愚妄，

他們的腳步為殺人流血而飛快，他們的路上只有毀滅和慘禍；和平之路，他們從來不知道。

因為他們的腳向惡事奔跑，他們快速地殺人流血。

愚妄人的計謀都是罪，譏諷者為人所憎惡。

因為你們的雙手被血染汙，你們的指頭被罪孽玷汙；你們的嘴唇說出虛謊之言，你們的舌頭吐露不義之語。

你的地上必不再聽見殘暴的事，你的境內也不再聽見毀壞和破敗的事；你必稱你的城牆為「救恩」，稱你的城門為「讚美」。

這樣，你們就見證了自己是殺害先知們的那些人的後代。你們去充滿你們祖先的惡貫吧！「你們這些蛇類，這些毒蛇的子孫！你們怎麼能逃避地獄的懲罰呢？看，我為此差派先知、智者、經師到你們這裡來；有些你們要殺害、要釘上十字架，有些要在會堂裡鞭打，從一個城追逼到另一個城。所以，從義人亞伯的血起，直到你們在聖所和祭壇之間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒迦利亞的血為止，在地上所流的義人的血都要歸在你們身上。我確實地告訴你們：這一切都要臨到這世代。「耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷！這城殺害先知們，又用石頭砸死被差到她這裡的人！我多次想聚集你的兒女，像母雞把自己的小雞聚集在翅膀下，可是你們不願意！

隨後，我看見那女人喝醉了聖徒們的血，以及為耶穌做見證之人的血。我看到她就大大驚奇。

彼得對他說：「你的銀子和你一起滅亡吧！因為你以為神的恩賜可以用錢買到！你在這件事上無份無關，因為在神面前你的心不正。所以你應當為這惡事悔改，向主祈求，或許你心中的意念因此被赦免。

惡人的意念，為耶和華所憎惡；恩慈的言語，卻是純淨的。
