高傲的眼睛，撒謊的舌頭，殺害無辜的手，

因為從裡面，就是從人的心裡能夠生出惡念、苟合、偷盜、謀殺、通姦、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、放蕩、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、狂妄。

殺人流血，腳步飛快；所到之處，大肆毀滅；平安之路，他們未曾知道；

因為他們奔向罪惡，急速地去殺人流血。

愚人的計謀是罪惡，人人都厭惡嘲諷者。

你們的手染滿了血污，手指沾滿了罪惡。你們的嘴唇吐出謊言，舌頭嘀咕惡事。

「『看啊，在你城中的以色列首領各逞權勢，殺人流血。

你國中再沒有暴力，境內再沒有破壞和毀滅的事；你必給你的城牆取名叫『拯救』，給你的城門取名叫『讚美』。

這樣，你們自己證明自己是殺害先知之人的後代。去填滿你們祖先的罪惡吧！你們這些蛇，這些毒蛇的後代啊，你們怎能逃脫地獄的刑罰呢？「看啊，我派先知、智者和律法教師到你們當中，有的會遭到你們的殺害，被你們釘在十字架上；有的會在會堂裡被你們鞭打，被你們從這城追到那城。因此，所有義人在地上所流的血，就是從義人亞伯的血，直到你們在聖所和祭壇之間所殺的巴拉加的兒子撒加利亞的血，都要歸到你們身上。我實在告訴你們，這一切的罪責都要歸到這個世代。「耶路撒冷啊！耶路撒冷啊！你常殺害先知，又用石頭打死派到你那裡的使者。我多次想要招聚你的兒女，像母雞將小雞聚集在翅膀底下，可是你們卻不肯。

我又見她醉了，因她喝了眾聖徒的血，就是為耶穌做見證之人的血。我看見她，非常驚奇。

可是，你一心貪圖不義之財，濫殺無辜，橫徵暴斂。」

彼得責備他說：「你和你的錢都一同毀滅吧！因為你以為可以用錢買上帝的恩賜！你在上帝面前心術不正，休想在我們的事工上有份。你要悔改，離棄邪惡，向主禱告，或許主會赦免你心中的邪念。

這都是因為她的先知和祭司的罪行。他們在城中殺害義人。

耶和華憎恨惡人的意念，喜愛純潔的言語。
