You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

You took olive oil to the god named Molek. You took a lot of perfume along with you. You sent your messengers to places far away. You even sent them down to the place of the dead.

有些人喜歡故作謙虛，敬拜天使，沉迷於所看見的幻象，你們不要因他們而失去得獎賞的資格。他們隨從墮落的思想無故自高自大，

妓女接受淫資，你卻送禮物給所有的情人，引誘他們從四方前來跟你淫亂。

亞哈斯差遣使者去見亞述王提革拉·毗列色，對他說：「我是你的僕人、你的兒子，現在亞蘭王和以色列王攻打我，求你從他們手中拯救我。」亞哈斯把耶和華殿裡和王宮庫房裡的金銀送給亞述王。亞述王答應了他，起兵攻陷大馬士革，殺了利汛，把城中的居民擄到吉珥。亞哈斯王在大馬士革見亞述王提革拉·毗列色的時候，看到一座壇，便派人將壇的模型和詳細的製造方法送到烏利亞祭司那裡。烏利亞祭司按照送來的模型，在亞哈斯王返回之前建造了一座壇。

「以法蓮以風為食，整天追逐東風，虛謊和暴力日益增多；他跟亞述結盟，向埃及進貢橄欖油。」

他們必遭羞辱和貶抑。耶和華啊，求你不要赦免他們。

以法蓮像鴿子一樣愚蠢無知，他們向埃及求救，又投奔亞述。

那些到埃及尋求幫助的人有禍了！他們仰賴戰馬，倚靠眾多的戰車和強壯的騎兵，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，不尋求耶和華。然而，耶和華有智慧，會降災，從不收回自己的話。祂必懲罰惡人之家及其幫兇。埃及人不過是人，並非上帝；埃及的戰馬是血肉之軀，並非神靈。耶和華一伸手，那些幫兇必踉蹌，受幫助的必跌倒，他們必一同滅亡。
