You went to Molek with olive oil and increased your perfumes. You sent your ambassadors far away; you descended to the very realm of the dead!

有些人喜欢故作谦虚，敬拜天使，沉迷于所看见的幻象，你们不要因他们而失去得奖赏的资格。他们随从堕落的思想无故自高自大，

妓女接受淫资，你却送礼物给所有的情人，引诱他们从四方前来跟你淫乱。

亚哈斯差遣使者去见亚述王提革拉·毗列色，对他说：“我是你的仆人、你的儿子，现在亚兰王和以色列王攻打我，求你从他们手中拯救我。”亚哈斯把耶和华殿里和王宫库房里的金银送给亚述王。亚述王答应了他，起兵攻陷大马士革，杀了利汛，把城中的居民掳到吉珥。亚哈斯王在大马士革见亚述王提革拉·毗列色的时候，看到一座坛，便派人将坛的模型和详细的制造方法送到乌利亚祭司那里。乌利亚祭司按照送来的模型，在亚哈斯王返回之前建造了一座坛。

“以法莲以风为食，整天追逐东风，虚谎和暴力日益增多；他跟亚述结盟，向埃及进贡橄榄油。”

他们必遭羞辱和贬抑。耶和华啊，求你不要赦免他们。

以法莲像鸽子一样愚蠢无知，他们向埃及求救，又投奔亚述。

那些到埃及寻求帮助的人有祸了！他们仰赖战马，倚靠众多的战车和强壮的骑兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，不寻求耶和华。然而，耶和华有智慧，会降灾，从不收回自己的话。祂必惩罚恶人之家及其帮凶。埃及人不过是人，并非上帝；埃及的战马是血肉之躯，并非神灵。耶和华一伸手，那些帮凶必踉跄，受帮助的必跌倒，他们必一同灭亡。
