我必不永远责备，也不长久发怒，否则人的灵——我所造的生命气息，在我面前就会衰竭。

我必不永远相争，也不长久发怒，恐怕我所造的人与灵性都必发昏。

我必不长久控诉，也不永远怀怒，因为我虽使灵性发昏，我也造了人的气息。

我之責人、不恆蓄怒、恐予所造之人、膽喪氣餒、

我必不永遠斥責、不恆久震怒、恐我所造之人、心神困憊、

I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me— the very people I have created.

I will not find fault with my people forever. I will not always be angry with them. If I were, I would cause their spirits to grow weak. The people I created would faint away.

For I will not contend forever, nor will I always be angry; for the spirit would grow faint before me, and the breath of life that I made.

For I will not fight against you forever; I will not always be angry. If I were, all people would pass away— all the souls I have made.

For I will not accuse you forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before me, even the breath, which I have made.

难道你要对我们发怒到永远吗？你要延续你的怒气，直到万代吗？

然而神有怜悯，赎清了他们的罪孽，没有施行毁灭；他多次使他的怒气转消，没有发尽他的怒火。他顾念他们不过是血肉之躯，是一阵去而不返的风。

再者，我们有肉身的父亲来管教我们，我们尚且敬重他们，何况对这位万灵之父，我们难道不更要服从他而活着吗？

他不长久责备，也不永远怀怒。他没有照着我们的罪过对待我们，也没有照着我们的罪孽报应我们。因为天离地有多么高，他的慈爱向敬畏他的人也多么大；东离西有多么远，他使我们的过犯离我们也多么远；父亲怎样怜悯自己的儿女，耶和华也怎样怜悯敬畏他的人；因为他知道我们的本体，记念我们不过是尘土。至于世人，他的年日如草一样，他兴旺如野地的花，经风一吹，就不复存在，连自己的地方也不再认识它。

神耶和华创造诸天，展开穹苍，铺张地和地所出的一切，又把气息赐给地上的众人，把灵赐给行在其中的人——神耶和华如此说：

耶和华就说：“我的灵不会永远住在人里面，因人是血肉之躯；他的年日只可以到一百二十年。”

那时尘土要归回大地，像原来那样；灵也要归回赐灵的神。
