Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

“ If, because of the Sabbath, you restrain your foot From doing as you wish on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a pleasure, and the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, desisting from your own ways, From seeking your own pleasure And speaking your own word,

This is what the Lord says:“ Take care for yourselves, and do not carry any load on the Sabbath day or bring anything in through the gates of Jerusalem.You shall not bring a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day nor do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, just as I commanded your forefathers.

Sanctify My Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between Me and you, so that you may know that I am the Lord your God.’

“ Now as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ You must keep My Sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.Therefore you are to keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.So the sons of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.’

Also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, so that they might know that I am the Lord who sanctifies them.

Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments.

But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, And on His Law he meditates day and night.He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season, And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

“ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Lord, who may reside in Your tent? Who may settle on Your holy hill?One who walks with integrity, practices righteousness, And speaks truth in his heart.He does not slander with his tongue, Nor do evil to his neighbor, Nor bring shame on his friend;A despicable person is despised in his eyes, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He takes an oath to his own detriment, and does not change;He does not lend his money at interest, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. One who does these things will never be shaken.

By mercy and truth atonement is made for wrongdoing, And by the fear of the Lord one keeps away from evil.

Turn from evil and do good, So that you will dwell forever.

Then I reprimanded the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil thing that you are doing, by profaning the Sabbath day?

You shall keep My Sabbaths and revere My sanctuary; I am the Lord.

A wise person is cautious and turns away from evil, But a fool is arrogant and careless.

Do not turn to the right or to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life, and may enter the city by the gates.

“ Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To attend to His service and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, every one who keeps the Sabbath so as not to profane it, And holds firmly to My covenant;

I have restrained my feet from every evil way, So that I may keep Your word.

Blessed are those whose way is blameless, Who walk in the Law of the Lord.Blessed are those who comply with His testimonies, And seek Him with all their heart.They also do no injustice; They walk in His ways.You have ordained Your precepts, That we are to keep them diligently.Oh that my ways may be established To keep Your statutes!

For this is what the Lord says:“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold firmly to My covenant,

How blessed are those who maintain justice, Who practice righteousness at all times!

Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.

The highway of the upright is to turn away from evil; One who watches his way protects his life.

but the seventh day is a Sabbath of the Lord your God; on it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male slave or your female slave, or your cattle, or your resident who stays with you.

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways.

It is good that you grasp one thing while not letting go of the other; for one who fears God comes out with both of them.

Turn from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.

Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes.

Love must be free of hypocrisy. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good.
