Happy is the person who does this, the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the person who does what I want them to. They are faithful in keeping the Sabbath day. They do not misuse it. They do not do what is evil on that day.”

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath, not profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed are all those who are careful to do this. Blessed are those who honor my Sabbath days of rest and keep themselves from doing wrong.

Blessed is a man who does this, And a son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth it fast; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Happy is the man who does this, anyone who maintains this, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.

Blessed[ is] the man[ that] doeth this, and the son of man[ that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

The people who do this will be blessed, the people who commit themselves to obedience, who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, who refrain from doing anything that is wrong.

Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it and keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

“ If you keep from desecrating the Sabbath, from doing whatever you want on my holy day; if you call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy day of the LORD honorable; if you honor it, not going your own ways, seeking your own pleasure, or talking business;

This is what the LORD says: Watch yourselves; do not pick up a load and bring it in through Jerusalem’s gates on the Sabbath day.Do not carry a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, just as I commanded your ancestors.

Keep my Sabbaths holy, and they will be a sign between me and you, so you may know that I am the LORD your God.”

“ Tell the Israelites: You must observe my Sabbaths, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am the LORD who consecrates you.Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people.Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.

I also gave them my Sabbaths to serve as a sign between me and them, so that they would know that I am the LORD who consecrates them.

Hallelujah! Happy is the person who fears the LORD, taking great delight in his commands.

He said,“ Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it.”

If you know these things, you are blessed if you do them.

How happy is the one who does not walk in the advice of the wicked or stand in the pathway with sinners or sit in the company of mockers!Instead, his delight is in the LORD’s instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.He is like a tree planted beside flowing streams that bears its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy:

LORD, who can dwell in your tent? Who can live on your holy mountain?The one who lives blamelessly, practices righteousness, and acknowledges the truth in his heart—who does not slander with his tongue, who does not harm his friend or discredit his neighbor,who despises the one rejected by the LORD but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his word whatever the cost,who does not lend his silver at interest or take a bribe against the innocent— the one who does these things will never be shaken.

Iniquity is atoned for by loyalty and faithfulness, and one turns from evil by the fear of the LORD.

Turn away from evil, do what is good, and settle permanently.

I rebuked the nobles of Judah and said to them,“ What is this evil you are doing— profaning the Sabbath day?

Keep my Sabbaths and revere my sanctuary; I am the LORD.

A wise person is cautious and turns from evil, but a fool is easily angered and is careless.

Don’t turn to the right or to the left; keep your feet away from evil.

“ Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.

As for the foreigners who join themselves to the LORD to minister to him, to love the name of the LORD, and to become his servants— all who keep the Sabbath without desecrating it and who hold firmly to my covenant—

I have kept my feet from every evil path to follow your word.

How happy are those whose way is blameless, who walk according to the LORD’s instruction!Happy are those who keep his decrees and seek him with all their heart.They do nothing wrong; they walk in his ways.You have commanded that your precepts be diligently kept.If only my ways were committed to keeping your statutes!

For the LORD says this:“ For the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, and choose what pleases me, and hold firmly to my covenant,

How happy are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go. Guard it, for it is your life.

The highway of the upright avoids evil; the one who guards his way protects his life.

but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. You must not do any work— you, your son or daughter, your male or female servant, your livestock, or the resident alien who is within your city gates.

How happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways!

It is good that you grasp the one and do not let the other slip from your hand. For the one who fears God will end up with both of them.

Turn away from evil and do what is good; seek peace and pursue it.

Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing his job when he comes.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good.
