After this, I heard what sounded like a vast crowd in heaven shouting,“ Praise the Lord! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.His judgments are true and just. He has punished the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her immorality. He has avenged the murder of his servants.”And again their voices rang out:“ Praise the Lord! The smoke from that city ascends forever and ever!”Then the twenty four elders and the four living beings fell down and worshiped God, who was sitting on the throne. They cried out,“ Amen! Praise the Lord!”And from the throne came a voice that said,“ Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear him, from the least to the greatest.”Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder:“ Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.

Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest sing for joybefore the Lord, for he is coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with his truth.

Sing for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Burst into song, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on them in their suffering.

The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in.Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joybefore the Lord, for he is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness.

Yet even now, be free from your captivity! Leave Babylon and the Babylonians. Sing out this message! Shout it to the ends of the earth! The Lord has redeemed his servants, the people of Israel.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.

Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

“ Nevertheless, the time will come when I will heal Jerusalem’s wounds and give it prosperity and true peace.

Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses.Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God.

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came into being.He set them in place forever and ever. His decree will never be revoked.Praise the Lord from the earth, you creatures of the ocean depths,fire and hail, snow and clouds, wind and weather that obey him,mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,wild animals and all livestock, small scurrying animals and birds,kings of the earth and all people, rulers and judges of the earth,young men and young women, old men and children.Let them all praise the name of the Lord. For his name is very great; his glory towers over the earth and heaven!

the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord. They will sing,‘ Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for the Lord is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the Lord.

Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise!

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ My servants will eat, but you will starve. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be sad and ashamed.My servants will sing for joy, but you will cry in sorrow and despair.

I will say to the prisoners,‘ Come out in freedom,’ and to those in darkness,‘ Come into the light.’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare.They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the Lord in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside cool waters.

So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.

Come away, people of Zion, you who are exiled in Babylon!”After a period of glory, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies sent me against the nations who plundered you. For he said,“ Anyone who harms you harms my most precious possession.I will raise my fist to crush them, and their own slaves will plunder them.” Then you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sent me.The Lord says,“ Shout and rejoice, O beautiful Jerusalem, for I am coming to live among you.

I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace.

In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

Sing a new song to the Lord! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.Join in the chorus, you desert towns; let the villages of Kedar rejoice! Let the people of Sela sing for joy; shout praises from the mountaintops!

They will come home and sing songs of joy on the heights of Jerusalem. They will be radiant because of the Lord’s good gifts— the abundant crops of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and the healthy flocks and herds. Their life will be like a watered garden, and all their sorrows will be gone.The young women will dance for joy, and the men— old and young— will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.The priests will enjoy abundance, and my people will feast on my good gifts. I, the Lord, have spoken!”
