此猶挪亞之洪水、昔我誓云、不復使洪水汎濫於地、今亦誓云、不復怒爾、不復責爾矣、

昔挪亞時、我矢之云、自後洪水、必不汎濫於天下、今也、我亦誓不怒爾責爾矣。

爾之景況、我譬諸挪亞洪水、彼時、我誓不復使挪亞洪水氾濫於地、今我亦誓、不復怒爾、不復責爾、

“ To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again.

“ During Noah’s time I made a promise. I said I would never cover the earth with water again. In the same way, I have promised not to be angry with you. I will never punish you again.

“ This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you.

“ Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth, so now I swear that I will never again be angry and punish you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to me: when I swore that the water of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to Me, When I swore that the waters of Noah Would not flood the earth again; So I have sworn that I will not be angry with you Nor rebuke you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to Me; For as I have sworn That the waters of Noah would no longer cover the earth, So have I sworn That I would not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

For this is as the waters of Noah unto me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“ For this is like the days of Noah to Me: when I swore that the waters of Noah would never flood the earth again, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you.

For this[ is as] the waters of Noah unto me: for[ as] I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

“ As far as I am concerned, this is like in Noah’s time, when I vowed that the waters of Noah’s flood would never again cover the earth. In the same way I have vowed that I will not be angry at you or shout at you.

“ For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah will no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

在那日，你要說：「耶和華啊，我要稱謝你！因為你雖然向我發怒，你的怒氣卻已轉消；你又安慰了我。

耶和華聞了那馨香之氣，耶和華心裏說：「我不再因人的緣故詛咒土地，因為人從幼年就心裏懷着惡念；我也不再照我曾做的毀滅一切生物了。

我口所出的話也必如此，絕不徒然返回，卻要成就我的旨意，達成我差它的目的。

耶和華使太陽白晝發光，按定例使月亮和星辰照耀黑夜，又攪動大海，使海中波浪澎湃，萬軍之耶和華是他的名，他如此說：「這些定例若能在我面前廢掉，以色列的後裔才會在我面前斷絕，永遠不再成國。這是耶和華說的。」

我與你們立我的約：凡有血肉的，不再被洪水滅絕，也不再有洪水毀壞這地了。」上帝說：「這是我與你們，以及和你們一起的一切生物所立之永約的記號，直到萬代：我把彩虹放在雲中，這就是我與地立約的記號了。我使雲遮地的時候，會有彩虹出現在雲中，我就記念我與你們，以及各樣有血肉的生物所立的約：不再有洪水氾濫去毀滅一切有血肉的了。彩虹出現在雲中，我看見了，就要記念上帝與地上一切有血肉的生物所立的永約。」

「耶和華如此說：你們若能廢棄我所立白日黑夜的約，使白日黑夜不按時輪轉，就能廢棄我與我僕人大衛所立的約，使他沒有後裔在他的寶座上作王，並能廢棄我與事奉我的利未家的祭司所立的約。正如天上的萬象不能數算，海邊的塵沙不能斗量，我必照樣使我僕人大衛的後裔和事奉我的利未人多起來。」耶和華的話臨到耶利米，說：「你沒有留意這百姓所說的話嗎？他們說：『耶和華所揀選的二族，他已經棄絕了。』他們這樣藐視我的百姓，不把他們當作國來看待。耶和華如此說：除非我沒有立白日黑夜之約，也未曾安排天和地的定例，否則我不會棄絕雅各的後裔和我僕人大衛的後裔，使大衛的後裔不再治理亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的後裔。我必使他們被擄的人歸回，也必憐憫他們。」

你們要因我席上的馬匹、騎兵、勇士和所有的戰士而飽足。這是主耶和華說的。」

人都是指着比自己大的起誓，並且以起誓作保證，了結各樣的爭論。照樣，上帝願意為那承受應許的人更有力地顯明他的旨意不可更改，他以起誓作保證。藉這兩件不可更改的事－在這些事上，上帝絕不會說謊－我們這些逃往避難所的人能得到強有力的鼓勵，去抓住那擺在我們前頭的指望。

你定了界限，使水不能超越，不再轉回淹沒大地。
