當側耳而聽，來到我這裏；要聽，就必存活。我要與你們立永約，就是應許給大衛那可靠的慈愛。

你們要向天舉目，觀看下面的地；天必像煙雲消散，地必如衣服漸漸破舊；其上的居民也要如此死亡。惟有我的救恩永遠長存，我的公義也不廢掉。知道公義、將我的訓誨存在心中的人哪，當聽從我！不要怕人的辱罵，也不要因人的毀謗驚惶。

只是我不將我的慈愛全然收回，也不叫我的信實廢除。我必不毀損我的約，也不改變我口中所出的話。

我曾與他立生命和平安的約。我將這兩樣賜給他，使他存敬畏的心；他就敬畏我，懼怕我的名。

我因漲溢的怒氣，一時向你轉臉，但我要以永遠的慈愛憐憫你；這是耶和華－你的救贖主說的。

如今耶穌已經得了更優越的事奉，正如他作更美之約的中保；這約原是憑更美之應許立的。第一個約若沒有瑕疵，就無須尋求第二個約了。所以上帝指責他們說：「主說，看哪，日子將到，我要與以色列家和猶大家另立新的約；不像我拉着他們祖宗的手領他們出埃及地的時候，與他們所立的約；因為他們不恆心守我的約，所以我也不理他們；這是主說的。主又說：那些日子以後，我與以色列家所立的約是這樣：我要將我的律法放在他們的心思裏，寫在他們的心上；我要作他們的上帝，他們要作我的子民。他們各人不用教導自己的鄉親和自己的弟兄，說：你要認識主；因為從最小的到最大的，他們都要認識我。我要寬恕他們的不義，絕不再記得他們的罪惡。」既然上帝提到「新的約」，那麼第一個約就成為舊的了；而那漸舊漸衰的必然很快消逝了。

但願賜平安的上帝，就是那憑永約之血，把羣羊的大牧人－我們主耶穌從死人中領出來的上帝，在各樣善事上裝備你們，使你們遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶穌基督在我們裏面行他所喜悅的事。願榮耀歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們！

但主的日子要像賊一樣來到；那日，天必在轟然一聲中消失，天體都要被烈火熔化，地和地上的萬物都要燒盡。既然這一切都要如此消失，你們處世為人必須聖潔敬虔，等候並催促上帝的日子來到。因為在那日，天要被火燒而消滅，天體都要被烈火熔化。但照他的應許，我們等候新天新地，其中有正義常住。

他們不飢不渴，炎熱和烈日必不傷害他們；因為憐憫他們的必引導他們，領他們到水泉旁邊。

我的家在上帝面前不是如此嗎？上帝與我立永遠的約，這約既全備又穩妥。我的一切救恩和我一切所想望的，他豈不成全嗎？

我實在告訴你們，就是到天地都廢去，律法的一點一畫也不能廢去，直到一切都實現。

我還告訴你，你是彼得，我要把我的教會建造在這磐石上，陰間的權柄不能勝過它。

他救了我們，並不是因我們自己所行的義，而是照他的憐憫，藉着重生的洗和聖靈的更新。
