For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth.

I made you. I am now your husband. My name is the Lord Who Rules Over All. I am the Holy One of Israel. I have set you free. I am the God of the whole earth.

For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called.

For your Creator will be your husband; the Lord of Heaven’s Armies is his name! He is your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of all the earth.

This is what the LORD, your protector, says, the Holy One of Israel:“ I am the LORD your God, who teaches you how to succeed, who leads you in the way you should go.

“‘ Then I passed by you and watched you, noticing that you had reached the age for love. I spread my cloak over you and covered your nakedness. I swore a solemn oath to you and entered into a marriage covenant with you, declares the sovereign LORD, and you became mine.

Or is God the God of the Jews only? Is he not the God of the Gentiles too? Yes, of the Gentiles too!Since God is one, he will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.

For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Listen, O princess! Observe and pay attention! Forget your homeland and your family!Then the king will be attracted by your beauty. After all, he is your master! Submit to him!Rich people from Tyre will seek your favor by bringing a gift.The princess looks absolutely magnificent, decked out in pearls and clothed in a brocade trimmed with gold.In embroidered robes she is escorted to the king. Her attendants, the maidens of honor who follow her, are led before you.They are bubbling with joy as they walk in procession and enter the royal palace.Your sons will carry on the dynasty of your ancestors; you will make them princes throughout the land.I will proclaim your greatness through the coming years, then the nations will praise you forever.

Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave himself for herto sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the word,so that he may present the church to himself as glorious– not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless.

The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my joy, and it is complete.

“ Come back to me, my wayward sons,” says the LORD,“ for I am your true master. If you do, I will take one of you from each town and two of you from each family group, and I will bring you back to Zion.

This mystery is great– but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church.

Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying:“ The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

The LORD will then be king over all the earth. In that day the LORD will be seen as one with a single name.

They called out to one another,“ Holy, holy, holy is the Lord who commands armies! His majestic splendor fills the entire earth!”

This is what the LORD says, your protector, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I send to Babylon and make them all fugitives, turning the Babylonians’ joyful shouts into mourning songs.

The LORD, who is the portion of the descendants of Jacob, is not like them. For he is the one who created everything, including the people of Israel whom he claims as his own. He is known as the LORD who rules over all.

I am the LORD your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves surge. The LORD who commands armies is his name!

Indeed, they live in the holy city; they trust in the God of Israel, whose name is the LORD who commands armies.

The LORD, who is the inheritance of Jacob’s descendants, is not like them. He is the one who created everything. And the people of Israel are those he claims as his own. He is known as the LORD who rules over all.”
