彼受屈抑訊鞫、被取而去、於其時代、誰料其見絕於生人之地、乃因我民有罪、當受厥刑乎、

彼遭難時、人審判之、不秉公義、為民罪戾、而受譴責、生命且滅於世、遑計其後乎。

彼遭困苦、被審鞫、枉屈喪命、或作彼因受苦難刑罰而被取與之同世者、誰料彼受折磨、絕離活人之地、乃因我民之罪愆乎、

By oppression and judgment he was taken away. Yet who of his generation protested? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was punished.

He was arrested and sentenced to death. Then he was taken away. He was cut off from this life. He was punished for the sins of my people. Who among those who were living at that time tried to stop what was happening?

Then the high priest tore his clothes, saying,“ He has spoken blasphemy! What further need do we have of witnesses? Look, now you have heard His blasphemy!What do you think?” They answered and said,“ He is deserving of death.”

And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them,“ You know nothing at all,nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”Now this he did not say on his own authority; but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,and not for that nation only, but also that He would gather together in one the children of God who were scattered abroad.

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.

Those who sit in the gate speak against me, And I am the song of the drunkards.
