Now therefore, what do I here, saith Jehovah, seeing that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them do howl, saith Jehovah, and my name continually all the day is blasphemed.

现在我在这里作什么呢？”耶和华说：“我的子民毫无代价被取去；统治他们的人大肆咆哮。”耶和华说：“我的名终日不住被藐视。

现在这情形对我有什么意义！”这是耶和华的宣告。“我的子民被人无偿地带走；管辖他们的人在号叫；我的名终日不断地被藐视。”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華曰、我民既無因而被虜、轄之者譁然而呼、終日恆瀆我名、我將何為乎、

今我民無因見虜、強暴之人、恆凟我名、譁然不靖、我將何以處之。

主曰、今我民無故被擄、轄之者、喜樂陶陶、我名終日恆被褻瀆、我在此徒處何為、

“ And now what do I have here?” declares the Lord.“ For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock,” declares the Lord.“ And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

“ Now look at what has happened to them,” announces the Lord.“ Once again my people have been taken away. And no one paid anything for them. Those who rule over them brag about it,” announces the Lord.“ All day long without stopping, people speak evil things against my name.

Now therefore what have I here,” declares the Lord,“ seeing that my people are taken away for nothing? Their rulers wail,” declares the Lord,“ and continually all the day my name is despised.

What is this?” asks the Lord.“ Why are my people enslaved again? Those who rule them shout in exultation. My name is blasphemed all day long.

So now what have I here”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ that my people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail”— this is the LORD’s declaration—“ and my name is continually blasphemed all day long.

And now, what do I have here,” declares the Lord,“ seeing that My people have been taken away without reason?” Again the Lord declares,“ Those who rule over them howl, and My name is continually reviled all day long.

Now therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord,“ That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail,” says the Lord,“ And My name is blasphemed continually every day.

So now what have I here”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ that My people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.

Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day[ is] blasphemed.

For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you, even as it is written.

But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, among which they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

And when they came unto the nations, whither they went, they profaned my holy name; in that men said of them, These are the people of Jehovah, and are gone forth out of his land.But I had regard for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations, whither they went.Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I do not this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for my holy name, which ye have profaned among the nations, whither ye went.And I will sanctify my great name, which hath been profaned among the nations, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, saith the Lord Jehovah, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth, By reason of the enemy and the avenger.

and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee, that have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.

And it came to pass in the course of those many days, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

I was wroth with my people, I profaned mine inheritance, and gave them into thy hand: thou didst show them no mercy; upon the aged hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion.Upon the willows in the midst thereof We hanged up our harps.

They have heard that I sigh; there is none to comfort me; All mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: Thou wilt bring the day that thou hast proclaimed, and they shall be like unto me.

How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

He hath cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel; He hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy: And he hath burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.

Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.

And in that day, saith Jehovah, there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.

The young men bare the mill; And the children stumbled under the wood.The elders have ceased from the gate, The young men from their music.The joy of our heart is ceased; Our dance is turned into mourning.

For thus saith Jehovah, Ye were sold for nought; and ye shall be redeemed without money.

But I know thy sitting down, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy raging against me.

Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O Jehovah, And that a foolish people hath blasphemed thy name.

Thou sellest thy people for nought, And hast not increased thy wealth by their price.

And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigor:and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field, all their service, wherein they made them serve with rigor.And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:and he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the birth- stool; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him; but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

When they were by the house of Micah, they knew the voice of the young man the Levite; and they turned aside thither, and said unto him, Who brought thee hither? and what doest thou in this place? and what hast thou here?

What doest thou here? and whom hast thou here, that thou hast hewed thee out here a sepulchre? hewing him out a sepulchre on high, graving a habitation for himself in the rock!

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith Jehovah, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee all the day.Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: The tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.

Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.

And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
