“ I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

“惟有我，是安慰你们的。你是谁？竟怕那必死的人，怕那要变如草的世人，

耶和华说：“安慰你们的是我，是我。你为什么要害怕难逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

“我，我耶和华是安慰你们的；你是谁，竟怕那会死的人，怕那被造如草的世人呢？

“我，是我安慰你们；你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被弃如草芥的世人；

惟有我，是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人？怕那要變如草的世人？

我，惟有我是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，

耶和華說：「安慰你們的是我，是我。你為什麼要害怕難逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

『是我，我親自安慰你們的；你怎麼啦，你竟怕那會死的人，怕那生成如草的世人呀！

「我，是我安慰你們；你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，就是那被棄如草芥的世人；

主曰、慰藉爾者我也、爾何人斯、乃畏必死之世人、懼如草之人子、

耶和華曰、我慰藉爾、斯世之人、俱將淪亡、儗於草萊、何為畏之。

主曰、慰藉爾者惟我、惟我、爾為誰、竟懼必死之人、畏彼似草萊之世人、世人或作亞當之子

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mere mortals, human beings who are but grass,

The Lord says to his people,“ I comfort you because of who I am. Why are you afraid of mere human beings? They are like grass that dries up.

“ I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,

“ I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?

I— I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

“ I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you should be afraid Of a man who will die, And of the son of a man who will be made like grass?

I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;

I— I am the One who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear man who dies, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

I,[ even] I,[ am] he that comforteth you: who[ art] thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man[ that] shall die, and of the son of man[ which] shall be made[ as] grass;

“ I, I am the one who consoles you. Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass?

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?

The Lord is for me; I will not fear; What can man do to me?

For,“ All flesh is like grass, And all its glory is like the flower of grass. The grass withers, And the flower falls off,

“ I will not leave you as orphans; I am coming to you.

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you.Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

Take no account of man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; For why should he be esteemed?

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.

Indeed, the Lord will comfort Zion; He will comfort all her ruins. And He will make her wilderness like Eden, And her desert like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, Thanksgiving and the sound of a melody.

but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so also the rich person, in the midst of his pursuits, will die out.

For even when we came into Macedonia our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side: conflicts on the outside, fears inside.But God, who comforts the discouraged, comforted us by the arrival of Titus;

You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep; In the morning they are like grass that sprouts anew.In the morning it flourishes and sprouts anew; Toward evening it wilts and withers away.

And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

“ I, I alone, am the one who wipes out your wrongdoings for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.

As for man, his days are like grass; Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place no longer knows about it.

“ Now I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

Many seek the ruler’s favor, But justice for mankind comes from the Lord.

Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My Law; Do not fear the taunting of people, Nor be terrified of their abuses.For the moth will eat them like a garment; Yes, the moth will eat them like wool. But My righteousness will be forever, And My salvation to all generations.”

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says:“ I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would grow faint before Me, And the breath of those whom I have made.Because of the wrongful act of his unjust gain I was angry and struck him; I hid My face and was angry, And he went on turning away, in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and to his mourners,

When the wicked sprouted up like grass And all who did injustice flourished, It was only that they might be destroyed forevermore.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego replied to the king,“ Nebuchadnezzar, we are not in need of an answer to give you concerning this matter.If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will rescue us from your hand, O king.But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we are not going to serve your gods nor worship the golden statue that you have set up.”

A voice says,“ Call out.” Then he answered,“ What shall I call out?” All flesh is grass, and all its loveliness is like the flower of the field.The grass withers, the flower fades, When the breath of the Lord blows upon it; The people are indeed grass!

His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; On that very day his plans perish.

So the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, as it was being built up; and as it continued in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it kept increasing.
