他们就吐唾沫在祂脸上，挥拳打祂。还有人一边打祂耳光，一边说：

他们用苇秆打祂的头，向祂吐唾沫，跪拜祂。

有几个人向祂吐唾沫，蒙上祂的眼睛，挥拳打祂，嘲笑祂说：“你说预言吧！”卫兵押祂下去时，也打祂。

谁知祂是因我们的过犯而被刺透，因我们的罪恶而被压伤。我们因祂所受的刑罚而得到平安，因祂所受的鞭伤而得到医治。

看守耶稣的人嘲弄祂，殴打祂，蒙住祂的眼睛，对祂说：“说预言吧！是谁在打你？”

然后向祂吐唾沫，拿过苇秆打祂的头。

定睛仰望为我们的信心创始成终的耶稣。祂为了摆在前面的喜乐，就轻看羞辱，忍受了十字架的痛苦，如今已坐在上帝宝座的右边。

耶稣话才说完，站在旁边的差役就打了祂一耳光，说：“你敢这样回答大祭司！”

我就斥责他们，咒诅他们，打了他们其中一些人，又扯他们的头发，要他们奉上帝的名起誓不再让自己的子女与外族人通婚，自己也不娶外族女子。

于是，彼拉多为他们释放了巴拉巴，下令将耶稣鞭打后，带出去钉十字架。

要任人打脸，甘心忍受凌辱。

但我告诉你们，不要跟恶人作对。有人打你的右脸，连左脸也转过来让他打。

耶路撒冷的居民啊，现在你们要调集军队！敌人正四面围攻我们，要用杖击打以色列首领的脸颊。
