This is what the Lord says:“ Was your mother sent away because I divorced her? Did I sell you as slaves to my creditors? No, you were sold because of your sins. And your mother, too, was taken because of your sins.

耶和华如此说：“我休你们的母亲，休书在哪里呢？我将你们卖给我哪一个债主呢？你们被卖，是因你们的罪孽；你们的母亲被休，是因你们的过犯。

耶和华如此说：“我休了你们的母亲，她的休书在哪里呢？我将你们卖给了我哪一个债主呢？看哪，你们被卖是因你们的罪孽；你们的母亲被休，是因你们的过犯。

耶和华如此说：“我休了你们的母亲，她的休书在哪里呢？我将你们卖给了我哪一个债主呢？看哪，你们被卖是因你们的罪孽；你们的母亲被休，是因你们的过犯。

耶和华说：“我休你们母亲的休书在哪里呢？我把你们卖给了我哪一个债主呢？你们被卖是因为你们的罪恶，你们母亲被休是因为你们的过犯。

耶和华这样说：“我离弃了你们的母亲，休书在哪里呢？或者我的债主中，哪一个是我把你们卖了给他的呢？看哪！你们被卖是因你们的罪孽；你们的母亲被离弃是因你们的过犯。

耶和华如此说：“我休你们母亲的休书在哪里呢？我把你们卖给了我哪一个债主呢？看哪！你们被卖是因你们的罪孽，你们的母亲被休是因你们的过犯。

耶和華如此說：我休你們的母親，休書在哪裏呢？我將你們賣給我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣，是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被休，是因你們的過犯。

耶和華如此說：「我休了你們的母親，她的休書在哪裏呢？我將你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？看哪，你們被賣是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被休，是因你們的過犯。

耶和華說：「我休你們母親的休書在哪裡呢？我把你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？你們被賣是因為你們的罪惡，你們母親被休是因為你們的過犯。

耶和華這樣說：“我離棄了你們的母親，休書在哪裡呢？或者我的債主中，哪一個是我把你們賣了給他的呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被離棄是因你們的過犯。

永恆主這麼說：你們母親的離婚書、我用來送她走的證件、在哪裏呢？或是說：哪一個是我的債主，我把你們賣給他呢？看哪，你們被賣、是因你們的罪孽；你們的母親被送走、是因你們的過犯。

耶和華如此說：「我休你們母親的休書在哪裡呢？我把你們賣給了我哪一個債主呢？看哪！你們被賣是因你們的罪孽，你們的母親被休是因你們的過犯。

耶和華曰、我出爾母、離書安在、我鬻爾身、債主為誰、爾之見鬻、以爾罪故、爾母見出、以爾愆故、

耶和華告以色列族曰、爾母見出、必有離書、離書云何、爾身見鬻、必有所償、所償伊誰、爾母見出、爾身見鬻、乃罪應爾。

主如是云、我出爾母、離書安在、或作何嘗有離書我鬻爾於我何債主乎、爾曹見鬻、因爾之罪也、爾母見出、因爾之愆也、

This is what the Lord says:“ Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce with which I sent her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Because of your sins you were sold; because of your transgressions your mother was sent away.

The Lord says to the people in Jerusalem,“ Do you think I divorced your people who lived before you? Is that why I sent them away? If it is, show me the letter of divorce. I did not sell you into slavery to pay someone I owe. You were sold because you sinned against me. Your people were sent away because of their lawless acts.

Thus says the Lord:“ Where is your mother’s certificate of divorce, with which I sent her away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities you were sold, and for your transgressions your mother was sent away.

This is what the LORD says: Where is your mother’s divorce certificate that I used to send her away? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was sent away because of your transgressions.

This is what the Lord says:“ Where is the certificate of divorce By which I have sent your mother away? Or to whom of My creditors did I sell you? Behold, you were sold for your wrongdoings, And for your wrongful acts your mother was sent away.

Thus says the Lord:“ Where is the certificate of your mother’s divorce, Whom I have put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? For your iniquities you have sold yourselves, And for your transgressions your mother has been put away.

Thus saith Jehovah, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, wherewith I have put her away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities were ye sold, and for your transgressions was your mother put away.

This is what the Lord says: Where is your mother’s divorce certificate that I used to send her away? Or who were My creditors that I sold you to? Look, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was put away because of your transgressions.

Thus saith the LORD, Where[ is] the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors[ is it] to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.

This is what the LORD says:“ Where is your mother’s divorce certificate by which I divorced her? Or to which of my creditors did I sell you? Look, you were sold because of your sins; because of your rebellious acts I divorced your mother.

Yahweh says,“ Where is the bill of your mother’s divorce, with which I have put her away? Or to which of my creditors have I sold you? Behold, you were sold for your iniquities, and your mother was put away for your transgressions.

How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the Lord had given them up?

She saw that I divorced faithless Israel because of her adultery. But that treacherous sister Judah had no fear, and now she, too, has left me and given herself to prostitution.

One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out,“ My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves.”

He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold— along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned— to pay the debt.

We belong to the same family as those who are wealthy, and our children are just like theirs. Yet we must sell our children into slavery just to get enough money to live. We have already sold some of our daughters, and we are helpless to do anything about it, for our fields and vineyards are already mortgaged to others.”

For this is what the Lord says:“ When I sold you into exile, I received no payment. Now I can redeem you without having to pay for you.”

“ When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are.

You sold your precious people for a pittance, making nothing on the sale.

For my people and I have been sold to those who would kill, slaughter, and annihilate us. If we had merely been sold as slaves, I could remain quiet, for that would be too trivial a matter to warrant disturbing the king.”

“ Well, he permitted it,” they replied.“ He said a man can give his wife a written notice of divorce and send her away.”But Jesus responded,“ He wrote this commandment only as a concession to your hard hearts.But‘ God made them male and female’ from the beginning of creation.‘ This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife,and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one,let no one split apart what God has joined together.”Later, when he was alone with his disciples in the house, they brought up the subject again.He told them,“ Whoever divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery against her.And if a woman divorces her husband and marries someone else, she commits adultery.”

“ Suppose a man marries a woman but she does not please him. Having discovered something wrong with her, he writes a document of divorce, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house.When she leaves his house, she is free to marry another man.But if the second husband also turns against her, writes a document of divorce, hands it to her, and sends her away, or if he dies,the first husband may not marry her again, for she has been defiled. That would be detestable to the Lord. You must not bring guilt upon the land the Lord your God is giving you as a special possession.

They even sacrificed their own sons and daughters in the fire. They consulted fortune tellers and practiced sorcery and sold themselves to evil, arousing the Lord’s anger.

( No one else so completely sold himself to what was evil in the Lord’s sight as Ahab did under the influence of his wife Jezebel.

“ But now bring charges against Israel— your mother— for she is no longer my wife, and I am no longer her husband. Tell her to remove the prostitute’s makeup from her face and the clothing that exposes her breasts.Otherwise, I will strip her as naked as she was on the day she was born. I will leave her to die of thirst, as in a dry and barren wilderness.And I will not love her children, for they were conceived in prostitution.

Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call.It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

“ If a man divorces a woman and she goes and marries someone else, he will not take her back again, for that would surely corrupt the land. But you have prostituted yourself with many lovers, so why are you trying to come back to me?” says the Lord.

“ Your own actions have brought this upon you. This punishment is bitter, piercing you to the heart!”

“ If one of your fellow Israelites falls into poverty and is forced to sell himself to you, do not treat him as a slave.
