“ Now you dwellers in Jerusalem and people of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard.

So the Lord said,“ People of Jerusalem and Judah, you be the judge between me and my vineyard.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard.

Now, you people of Jerusalem and Judah, you judge between me and my vineyard.

“ And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, Judge between Me and My vineyard.

“ And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, Judge, please, between Me and My vineyard.

And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between Me and My vineyard.

So now, residents of Jerusalem, people of Judah, you decide between me and my vineyard!

“ Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.

Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.

What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill the farmers and give the vineyard to others.Haven’t you read this Scripture: The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.This came about from the Lord and is wonderful in our eyes?”They were looking for a way to arrest him but feared the crowd because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. So they left him and went away.

On high, he summons heaven and earth in order to judge his people:“ Gather my faithful ones to me, those who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”The heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God is the Judge. Selah

Against you— you alone— I have sinned and done this evil in your sight. So you are right when you pass sentence; you are blameless when you judge.

Listen to the LORD’s lawsuit, you mountains and enduring foundations of the earth, because the LORD has a case against his people, and he will argue it against Israel.My people, what have I done to you, or how have I wearied you? Testify against me!

Absolutely not! Let God be true, even though everyone is a liar, as it is written: That you may be justified in your words and triumph when you judge.

Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those farmers?”“ He will completely destroy those terrible men,” they told him,“ and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his fruit at the harvest.”

So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.“ What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?He will come and kill those farmers and give the vineyard to others.” But when they heard this they said,“ That must never happen!”

Hear the word of the LORD, house of Jacob and all families of the house of Israel.This is what the LORD says: What fault did your ancestors find in me that they went so far from me, followed worthless idols, and became worthless themselves?
