But Zion said,“ The Lord has forsaken me, the Lord has forgotten me.”

But the city of Zion said,“ The Lord has deserted me. The Lord has forgotten me.”

But Zion said,“ The Lord has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.”

Yet Jerusalem says,“ The Lord has deserted us; the Lord has forgotten us.”

Zion says,“ The LORD has abandoned me; the Lord has forgotten me!”

But Zion said,“ The Lord has abandoned me, And the Lord has forgotten me.”

But Zion said,“ The Lord has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me.”

But Zion said, Jehovah hath forsaken me, and the Lord hath forgotten me.

Zion says,“ The Lord has abandoned me; The Lord has forgotten me!”

But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me.

“ Zion said,‘ The LORD has abandoned me, the sovereign master has forgotten me.’

Why do you say, Jacob, and speak, Israel,“ My way is hidden from Yahweh, and the justice due me is disregarded by my God?”

But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin.All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors.You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice.Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle.You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground.You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah.How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?

Why do you forget us forever, and forsake us for so long a time?

How long, Yahweh? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?

As for me, I said in my haste,“ I am cut off from before your eyes.” Nevertheless you heard the voice of my petitions when I cried to you.

I remember my song in the night. I consider in my own heart; my spirit diligently inquires:“ Will the Lord reject us forever? Will he be favorable no more?Has his loving kindness vanished forever? Does his promise fail for generations?Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he, in anger, withheld his compassion?” Selah.

therefore, behold, I will utterly forget you, and I will cast you off, and the city that I gave to you and to your fathers, away from my presence.

I ask then, did God reject his people? May it never be! For I also am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.God didn’t reject his people, which he foreknew. Or don’t you know what the Scripture says about Elijah? How he pleads with God against Israel:“ Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have broken down your altars. I am left alone, and they seek my life.”But how does God answer him?“ I have reserved for myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?
