Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Shout for joy, you heavens! Be glad, you earth! Burst into song, you mountains! The Lord will comfort his people. He will show his tender love to those who are suffering.

For Yahweh has comforted Zion. He has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yahweh. Joy and gladness will be found in them, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying,“ Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”

For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace. The mountains and the hills will break out before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields will clap their hands.

Even so, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner repenting.”

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and word.

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”You will see it, and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones will flourish like the tender grass. Yahweh’s hand will be known among his servants; and he will have indignation against his enemies.

“ Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.“ Speak comfortably to Jerusalem; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received of Yahweh’s hand double for all her sins.”

Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice. Let the sea roar, and its fullness!Let the field and all that is in it exult! Then all the trees of the woods shall sing for joybefore Yahweh; for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, the peoples with his truth.

Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance; the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

Break out into joy! Sing together, you waste places of Jerusalem; for Yahweh has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Sing to Yahweh a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is therein, the islands and their inhabitants.Let the wilderness and its cities raise their voices, with the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of Sela sing. Let them shout from the top of the mountains!

to proclaim the year of Yahweh’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,to provide for those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.

In that day you will say,“ I will give thanks to you, Yahweh; for though you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you comfort me.

Make a joyful noise to Yahweh, all the earth! Burst out and sing for joy, yes, sing praises!Sing praises to Yahweh with the harp, with the harp and the voice of melody.With trumpets and sound of the ram’s horn, make a joyful noise before the King, Yahweh.Let the sea roar with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.Let the rivers clap their hands. Let the mountains sing for joy together.Let them sing before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus,

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.They cried with a loud voice, saying,“ Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,saying,“ Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.They sang a new song, saying,“ You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on the earth.”I saw, and I heard something like a voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. The number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands, and thousands of thousands;saying with a loud voice,“ Worthy is the Lamb who has been killed to receive the power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing!”I heard every created thing which is in heaven, on the earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them, saying,“ To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion, forever and ever! Amen!”
