Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; And you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”Then you will see this, and your heart will be glad, And your bones will flourish like the new grass; And the hand of the Lord will be made known to His servants, But He will be indignant toward His enemies.

Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joyBefore the Lord, for He is coming, For He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, And the peoples in His faithfulness.

Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance, And the young men and the old together; For I will turn their mourning into joy And comfort them, and give them joy for their sorrow.

Be cheerful, shout joyfully together, You ruins of Jerusalem; For the Lord has comforted His people, He has redeemed Jerusalem.

But God, who comforts the discouraged, comforted us by the arrival of Titus;

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all the tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands;and they* cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,saying,“ Amen, blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might belong to our God forever and ever. Amen.”

When He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.And they* sang a new song, saying,“ Worthy are You to take the scroll and to break its seals; for You were slaughtered, and You purchased people for God with Your blood from every tribe, language, people, and nation.You have made them into a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign upon the earth.”Then I looked, and I heard the voices of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,saying with a loud voice,“ Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing.”And I heard every created thing which is in heaven, or on the earth, or under the earth, or on the sea, and all the things in them, saying,“ To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be the blessing, the honor, the glory, and the dominion forever and ever.”
