My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together.

For this is what the LORD says, the one who created the sky– he is the true God, the one who formed the earth and made it; he established it, he did not create it without order, he formed it to be inhabited–“ I am the LORD, I have no peer.

In earlier times you established the earth; the skies are your handiwork.

And,“ You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord, and the heavens are the works of your hands.They will perish, but you continue. And they will all grow old like a garment,and like a robe you will fold them up and like a garment they will be changed, but you are the same and your years will never run out.”

For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day; therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart as holy.

Who has measured out the waters in the hollow of his hand, or carefully measured the sky, or carefully weighed the soil of the earth, or weighed the mountains in a balance, or the hills on scales?

This is what the true God, the LORD, says– the one who created the sky and stretched it out, the one who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the one who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it:

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he gave the command and they came into existence.He established them so they would endure; he issued a decree that will not be revoked.Praise the LORD from the earth, you sea creatures and all you ocean depths,O fire and hail, snow and clouds, O stormy wind that carries out his orders,

O LORD, your instructions endure; they stand secure in heaven.You demonstrate your faithfulness to all generations. You established the earth and it stood firm.Today they stand firm by your decrees, for all things are your servants.

He is the one who sits on the earth’s horizon; its inhabitants are like grasshoppers before him. He is the one who stretches out the sky like a thin curtain, and spreads it out like a pitched tent.

He counts the number of the stars; he names all of them.

will you, with him, spread out the clouds, solid as a mirror of molten metal?
