It is I who made the earth and created mankind on it. My own hands stretched out the heavens; I marshaled their starry hosts.

I made the earth. I created human beings to live there. My own hands spread out the heavens. I put all the stars in their places.

创造诸天、塑造和建立大地给人居住、没有使地荒凉的耶和华上帝说：“我是耶和华，是独一无二的上帝。

我们凭信心知道宇宙是借着上帝的话造成的，所以看得见的是从看不见的造出来的。

“主耶和华啊，看啊，你伸出大能的臂膀创造天地，你无所不能。

谁曾用手心量海水？谁曾用手掌度苍天？谁曾用升斗盛大地的尘土？谁曾用秤称高山，用天平称丘陵？

难道你不知道？难道你没有听见过？永恒的上帝耶和华——创造地极的主宰不会疲乏也不会困倦，祂的智慧深不可测。

上帝说：“我们要照着我们的形象，按着我们的样子造人，让他们管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上的牲畜及一切爬虫。”上帝就照着自己的形象造了人，祂照着自己的形象造了男人和女人。

上帝的宝座设立在大地的圆圈之上，地上的人类好像蚱蜢。祂铺展诸天，就像铺展幔子、铺展人居住的帐篷。

太初你奠立大地的根基，亲手创造诸天。
