彼心昏迷、所望成空、若食燼餘而不悟、不知右手所作、悉屬虛妄。

Such a person feeds on ashes; a deluded heart misleads him; he cannot save himself, or say,“ Is not this thing in my right hand a lie?”

That’s as foolish as eating ashes! The mind of someone like that has led him astray. He can’t save himself. He can’t bring himself to say,“ This thing I’m holding in my right hand isn’t really a god at all.”

He feeds on ashes; a deluded heart has led him astray, and he cannot deliver himself or say,“ Is there not a lie in my right hand?”

The poor, deluded fool feeds on ashes. He trusts something that can’t help him at all. Yet he cannot bring himself to ask,“ Is this idol that I’m holding in my hand a lie?”

He feeds on ashes. His deceived mind has led him astray, and he cannot rescue himself, or say,“ Isn’t there a lie in my right hand?”

我民諮詢於木、藉杖示之、彼為淫心所迷、狥欲離其上帝之制、

彼知識中既不願有上帝、上帝遂任其喪心、行非宜之行、

彼以上帝之真、易之以偽、寧崇奉受造之物、不崇奉造物之主、夫上帝乃世世當頌者、阿們、○

以法蓮餐風、追隨東風、妄誕殘暴日增、且與亞述結盟、貢油於埃及、

悖逆不認耶和華、違離不從我上帝、出暴戾叛逆之言、衷懷虛偽、口以宣之、

因所予行於獸前之兆、以惑宅地之人、告之宜造刃傷仍生之獸像、

自創世以來、上帝之永能神性、即所莫見者、已明見矣、乃由所造之物而知之、致人末由推諉、顧彼既知上帝、而不以上帝榮之、亦不謝之、乃思議虛妄、心蠢而昧、自稱為智、適成為愚、

但行惡與矯誣者、其惡日滋、迷人而亦受迷、

欲以豕所食之豆莢充腹、而無人予之、

彼之來、乃依撒但之工作、以諸能諸兆諸偽蹟、又以非義之諸詭譎、加於淪亡者、因其不納真理之愛、致得救焉、故上帝施以乖謬、致信誑言、

工師雕像、於製造者何益之有、鑄偶乃偽師、製造者恃此喑啞之像、何益之有、

燈光不復照於爾間、新郎新婦之聲、不復聞於爾間、蓋爾諸商素為世之尊者、萬國亦以爾巫術而受惑矣、

達人之心求知識、蠢者之口嗜愚頑、

是由於誑者之偽、其心之良、若為爇鐵所烙、

智者豈可以虛識為對、以東風充懷乎、

爾手污於血、爾指染於惡、口出虛詞、舌談邪慝、其人涉訟、不依公平、申訴不循真實、恃虛偽、言誕妄、懷殘害、生邪慝、

我若不信、彼終於信、蓋不能自違也、○

爾曰、我與死亡結約、與陰府訂盟、凶災流行、不及我身、我恃乎欺誑、匿於虛偽、主耶和華曰、我置石於錫安以為基、乃經驗寶貴之隅石、其址鞏固、信之者不驚惶、我將以公為繩、以義為準、欺誑之避所、雹必毀之、虛偽之匿所、水必淹之、

耶和華歟、爾為我力、我之保障、我難中之避所、列邦必自地極而至、曰、我祖所承者、莫非妄誕虛偽無益之物、

大龍即老蛇、亦名曰魔、曰撒但、迷惑普世者、見投於地、其使亦與焉、

耶和華曰、誰願誘亞哈往基列拉末、而隕沒乎、其一曰如此、其一曰如彼、後有神出、立於耶和華前曰、我願誘之、曰、何以誘之、曰、我將出為誑言之神、在其眾先知之口、曰、爾往為之、必成其事、今耶和華以誑言之神、置爾眾先知之口、耶和華有言、將加禍於爾、

投之於淵、閉而加印其上、使不再惑列邦、迨千年後、必暫釋之、○
