所餘即作神像偶像、俯伏其前叩拜、禱之曰、求爾救我、因爾即我神、

When he came near to the den to Daniel, he cried with a troubled voice. The king spoke and said to Daniel,“ Daniel, servant of the living God, is your God, whom you serve continually, able to deliver you from the lions?”Then Daniel said to the king,“ O king, live forever!My God has sent his angel, and has shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me; because as before him innocence was found in me; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

They took the bull which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying,“ Baal, hear us!” But there was no voice, and nobody answered. They leaped about the altar which was made.

Where are the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? Have they delivered Samaria from my hand?Who are they among all the gods of these countries that have delivered their country out of my hand, that Yahweh should deliver Jerusalem out of my hand?’”

Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. The king spoke and said to Daniel,“ Your God whom you serve continually, he will deliver you.”

As he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esar Haddon his son reigned in his place.

He delivers and rescues. He works signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.”

Therefore I make a decree, that every people, nation, and language, which speak anything evil against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill; because there is no other god who is able to deliver like this.”
