“ I have been inactive for a long time; I kept quiet and held back. Like a woman in labor I groan; I pant and gasp.

“我许久闭口不言，静默不语；现在我要喊叫，像产难的妇人；我要急气而喘哮。

我许久闭口不言，沉默不语；现在我要像临产的妇人，大声喊叫，呼吸急促而喘气。

我许久闭口不言，沉默不语；现在我要像临产的妇人，大声喊叫，呼吸急促而喘气。

“我已沉默多时，我克制不语，现在我要发出急促的呐喊，像分娩的妇人。

我已经很久缄默不言，闭口不语，但现在我要像待产的妇人一样呼喊，我要急速地喘气。

“我静默不言，沉默克制，已经很久了；但现在我要大喊，像临产的妇人那样急促呼吸、喘气。

我許久閉口不言，沉默不語；現在我要像臨產的婦人，大聲喊叫，呼吸急促而喘氣。

「我已沉默多時，我克制不語，現在我要發出急促的呐喊，像分娩的婦人。

我已經很久緘默不言，閉口不語，但現在我要像待產的婦人一樣呼喊，我要急速地喘氣。

許久我都緘默靜寂，自己忍住，現在我卻要號呼、像臨產的婦人，一直噓噓喘氣。

「我靜默不言，沉默克制，已經很久了；但現在我要大喊，像臨產的婦女那樣急促呼吸、喘氣。

耶和華曰、我久緘默、寂然自抑、今則號呼、如臨產之婦、氣急而喘、

耶和華曰、前此緘默、自抑我志、今則號呼、如臨產之婦、奮然吐氣、呼吸甚烈、

我靜寂緘默、隱忍已久、今將呼號、如臨產之婦、奮然吐氣、呼吸甚烈、

“ For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant.

The Lord says,“ For a long time I have kept silent. I have been calm and quiet. But now, like a woman having a baby, I cry out. I gasp and pant.

For a long time I have held my peace; I have kept still and restrained myself; now I will cry out like a woman in labor; I will gasp and pant.

He will say,“ I have long been silent; yes, I have restrained myself. But now, like a woman in labor, I will cry and groan and pant.

“ I have kept silent from ages past; I have been quiet and restrained myself. But now, I will groan like a woman in labor, gasping breathlessly.

“ I have kept silent for a long time, I have kept still and restrained Myself. Now like a woman in labor I will groan, I will both gasp and pant.

“ I have held My peace a long time, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry like a woman in labor, I will pant and gasp at once.

I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry out like a travailing woman; I will gasp and pant together.

“ I have kept silent from ages past; I have been quiet and restrained Myself. But now, I will groan like a woman in labor, gasping breathlessly.

I have long time holden my peace; I have been still,[ and] refrained myself:[ now] will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.

“ I have been silent a long time. I have been quiet and restrained myself. Now I will cry out like a travailing woman. I will both gasp and pant.

Finally the LORD could no longer endure your wicked deeds and the disgusting things you did. That is why your land has become the desolate, uninhabited ruin that it is today. That is why it has become a proverbial example used in curses.

When a sentence is not executed at once against a crime, the human heart is encouraged to do evil.Even though a sinner might commit a hundred crimes and still live a long time, yet I know that it will go well with God-fearing people– for they stand in fear before him.

The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some regard slowness, but is being patient toward you, because he does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.But the day of the Lord will come like a thief; when it comes, the heavens will disappear with a horrific noise, and the celestial bodies will melt away in a blaze, and the earth and every deed done on it will be laid bare.

And regard the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as also our dear brother Paul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

From Zion, the most beautiful of all places, God comes in splendor.

I, the LORD, say:‘ You people have deserted me! You keep turning your back on me.’ So I have unleashed my power against you and have begun to destroy you. I have grown tired of feeling sorry for you!”

O God, do not be silent! Do not ignore us! Do not be inactive, O God!For look, your enemies are making a commotion; those who hate you are hostile.

I will speak, so that I may find relief; I will open my lips, so that I may answer.

For I am full of words, and the spirit within me constrains me.

Won’t God give justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he delay long to help them?
