“我使一人从北方兴起，他来了，他在东方求告我的名。他必把掌权者像灰泥一样踏在脚下，像窑匠踩泥一样践踏。

“我从北方兴起一人；他是求告我名的，从日出之地而来。他必临到掌权的，好像临到灰泥，仿佛窑匠踹泥一样。

我自北方興起一人、呼籲我名、彼自日出之鄉而至、將踐牧伯如土、若陶人之躪泥、

我使義人崛興、自北而至、亦在日出之鄉、以籲我名、糜爛牧伯、如匠人之擣土、如陶人之躪泥、

惟彼籲籲或作宣告我名者、我激之來自北方、自日出之鄉而至、以蹂躪侯伯、猶如泥土、如陶人之踐泥然、

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he comes— one from the rising sun who calls on my name. He treads on rulers as if they were mortar, as if he were a potter treading the clay.

“ I have stirred up a king who will come from the north. He lives in the east. He will bring honor to me. He walks all over rulers as if they were mud. He steps on them just as a potter stomps on clay.

I stirred up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, and he shall call upon my name; he shall trample on rulers as on mortar, as the potter treads clay.

“ But I have stirred up a leader who will approach from the north. From the east he will call on my name. I will give him victory over kings and princes. He will trample them as a potter treads on clay.

“ I have stirred up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes my name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

“ I have put one from the north into motion, and he has come; From the rising of the sun he will call on My name; And he will come upon rulers as upon mortar, As the potter treads on clay.”

“ I have raised up one from the north, And he shall come; From the rising of the sun he shall call on My name; And he shall come against princes as though mortar, As the potter treads clay.

I have raised up one from the north, and he is come; from the rising of the sun one that calleth upon my name: and he shall come upon rulers as upon mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, one from the east who invokes My name. He will march over rulers as if they were mud, like a potter who treads the clay.

I have stirred up one out of the north and he advances, one from the eastern horizon who prays in my name. He steps on rulers as if they were clay, like a potter treading the clay.

“ I have raised up one from the north, and he has come, from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name, and he shall come on rulers as on mortar, and as the potter treads clay.

“谁使一人从东方兴起？谁凭公义把他召到跟前？谁把列国交给他，使他征服列国的君王，用刀将他们化为尘土，用弓将他们沦为风吹的碎秸？

我把他们打得粉碎，如同地上的灰尘，践踏他们，就像践踏街上的泥土。

我要差遣他去攻打一个不虔敬的国家，一个惹我发怒的民族，去抢夺、掳掠他们的财物，像践踏街上的泥土一样践踏他们。

从前嘲笑我说“你的上帝耶和华在哪里”的仇敌看见这事，都必满面羞愧。我必亲眼看见他们遭到报应，他们要像街上的泥土一样被人践踏。

他们必像战场上的勇士，将仇敌践踏在街上的泥土中。他们必争战，因为耶和华与他们同在。他们必使敌方的骑兵蒙羞。

我凭公义使塞鲁士王兴起，我要让他的道路畅通无阻。他必重建我的城，释放我被掳的子民，不是为了得报酬或奖赏。这是万军之耶和华说的。”

“要在大地上竖起旌旗，在列国吹响号角，让他们预备攻打巴比伦。要召集亚拉腊人、米尼人、亚实基拿人，使他们派遣将领率骑兵如蝗虫一样铺天盖地而来，攻打巴比伦。要让列国预备攻打巴比伦，使玛代的诸王及其省长、总督和所统治的人攻打巴比伦。大地要颤抖，痛苦地扭动，因为耶和华决意要攻击巴比伦，使她荒无人烟。

我看见一个令人胆战心惊的异象：“诡诈的在行诡诈，毁灭的在行毁灭。以拦人啊，攻打吧！玛代人啊，围城吧！耶和华必终止巴比伦带来的痛苦。”

“波斯王塞鲁士如此说，‘天上的上帝耶和华已把天下万国都赐给我，祂吩咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为祂建造殿宇。你们当中凡是耶和华的子民，都可以去犹大的耶路撒冷，为住在耶路撒冷的以色列的上帝耶和华建殿，愿上帝与他们同在！

我说塞鲁士是我的牧人，他必完成我的旨意，他会下令重建耶路撒冷，降旨奠定圣殿的根基。“我耶和华膏立塞鲁士为王，我牵着他的右手帮助他征服列国、降服列王；我使城门洞开，让他通行无阻。我对他说，‘我要走在你前面，为你铲平高山，打破铜门，砍断铁闩。我要把隐藏的宝物和秘密收藏的财富赐给你，好叫你知道点名呼召你的是我——以色列的上帝耶和华。虽然你不认识我，但为了我的仆人雅各，我所拣选的以色列，我还是点名呼召你，赐给你一个尊贵的名号。我是独一无二的耶和华，除我以外再没有上帝。虽然你不认识我，但我还是赐你力量。这样，从日出之地到日落之处，普天下都知道除我以外，别无他神，我耶和华独一无二。

因为有一个来自北方的国家要攻击它，使它荒凉、人畜绝迹。’”

我从太初就预言末后的事，从亘古就宣布将来的事。我的旨意必成就，我的计划必实现。我从东方召来鸷鸟，从遥远的地方召人来成就我的计划。我言出必行，必成就自己的计划。
