看哪，我要使亚哈斯日晷上随太阳前进的影子，往后退十度。”于是，在日晷上照下来的日影果然往后退了十度。

看哪，我要使亚哈斯日晷上随太阳前进的影子，往后退十度。”于是，在日晷上照下来的日影果然往后退了十度。

祂要使亚哈斯日晷上的日影后退十度。”果然，日影后退了十度。

看哪！我要使亚哈斯日晷上那向前进的日影往后退十级。”于是那向前进的日影，果然在日晷上往后退了十级。

看哪！我要使亚哈斯的日晷上太阳照下的影子向后退十个刻度。’”于是日晷上太阳照下的影子，果然向后退了十个刻度。

看吧，我必使臺階上的日影兒、就是在亞哈斯臺階上所照下的、往後退十步。』於是在臺階上所照下的日影兒果然退了十步。

看哪！我要使亞哈斯的日晷上太陽照下的影子向後退十個刻度。』」於是日晷上太陽照下的影子，果然向後退了十個刻度。

亞哈斯日晷已進之影、我將使之退十度、於是已進之日、循晷而退十度、○

亞哈士日晷之影、將退十分、我使之然、其後果有是事。○

主曰、亞哈斯所作之日晷、我必使前進之日影、後退十度、於是前進之日影、果後退十度、○

The shadow that was made by the sun has gone down ten steps on the stairway of Ahaz. I will make it go back up those ten steps.” ’ ” So the shadow went back up the ten steps it had gone down.

Behold, I will make the shadow cast by the declining sun on the dial of Ahaz turn back ten steps.” So the sun turned back on the dial the ten steps by which it had declined.

I will cause the sun’s shadow to move ten steps backward on the sundial of Ahaz!’” So the shadow on the sundial moved backward ten steps.

I am going to make the sun’s shadow that goes down on the stairway of Ahaz go back by ten steps.’” So the sun’s shadow went back the ten steps it had descended.

Behold, I will make the shadow on the stairway, which has gone down with the sun on the stairway of Ahaz, go back ten steps.” So the sun’s shadow went back ten steps on the stairway on which it had gone down.

Behold, I will bring the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward.” So the sun returned ten degrees on the dial by which it had gone down.

behold, I will cause the shadow on the steps, which is gone down on the dial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps. So the sun returned ten steps on the dial whereon it was gone down.

I am going to make the sun’s shadow that goes down on Ahaz’s stairway go back by 10 steps.” So the sun’s shadow went back the 10 steps it had descended.

Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

Look, I will make the shadow go back ten steps on the stairs of Ahaz.” And then the shadow went back ten steps.

Behold, I will cause the shadow on the sundial, which has gone down on the sundial of Ahaz with the sun, to return backward ten steps.”’” So the sun returned ten steps on the sundial on which it had gone down.

On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel:“ Sun, stand still over Gibeon, and you, moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a human being. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel!

In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. He prayed to the Lord, who answered him and gave him a miraculous sign.

The Pharisees and Sadducees came to Jesus and tested him by asking him to show them a sign from heaven.

Isaiah answered,“ This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?”“ It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps,” said Hezekiah.“ Rather, have it go back ten steps.”Then the prophet Isaiah called on the Lord, and the Lord made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.

But when envoys were sent by the rulers of Babylon to ask him about the miraculous sign that had occurred in the land, God left him to test him and to know everything that was in his heart.
