看吧，我必使臺階上的日影兒、就是在亞哈斯臺階上所照下的、往後退十步。』於是在臺階上所照下的日影兒果然退了十步。

看哪！我要使亞哈斯的日晷上太陽照下的影子向後退十個刻度。』」於是日晷上太陽照下的影子，果然向後退了十個刻度。

亞哈士日晷之影、將退十分、我使之然、其後果有是事。○

主曰、亞哈斯所作之日晷、我必使前進之日影、後退十度、於是前進之日影、果後退十度、○

The day the LORD delivered the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua prayed to the LORD before Israel:“ O sun, stand still over Gibeon! Do you want the shadow to move ahead ten steps or to go back ten steps?”Hezekiah answered,“ It is easy for the shadow to lengthen ten steps, but not for it to go back ten steps.”Isaiah the prophet called out to the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back ten steps on the stairs of Ahaz.
