For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

People in the grave can’t praise you. Dead people can’t sing praise to you. Those who go down to the grave can’t hope for you to be faithful to them.

For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness.

For the dead cannot praise you; they cannot raise their voices in praise. Those who go down to the grave can no longer hope in your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot thank you; Death cannot praise you. Those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.

Indeed Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not praise you. Those who descend into the pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.

For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.

凡是你手当做的，你都当极力去做；因为在你必去的阴间没有工作，没有筹划，没有知识，也没有智慧。

因为在死地没有人记念你，在阴间有谁会称谢你呢？

“我死亡下到阴坑，有什么好处呢？难道尘土会称谢你，宣告你的信实吗？

恶人因自己的恶行被推倒，义人在临死时有投靠。

“结果这些人将离去，进入永远的刑罚。然而，义人将进入永恒的生命。”

这一切之外，在我们和你们之间，隔着巨大的深渊，所以人想要从这边过到你们那边是不可能的，从那边过到我们这边也是不可能的。’“财主就说：‘我父啊，那么求你打发拉撒路到我父亲家去，因为我有五个兄弟，让他去郑重地劝诫他们，免得他们也来到这痛苦的地方。’“但是亚伯拉罕说：‘你的兄弟们有摩西和先知们，让你的兄弟们听从他们吧。’“财主却说：‘不，我父亚伯拉罕哪！其实如果有人从死人中复活，到他们那里去，他们就会悔改。’“可是亚伯拉罕对他说：‘如果他们不听从摩西和先知们，就算有人从死人中复活，他们也不会被说服的。’

但那些‘天国的儿女’，却将被丢在外面的黑暗里。在那里将有哀哭和切齿。”

死人不能赞美耶和华，所有下到寂静之地的都不能。至于我们，我们要颂赞耶和华，从今直到永远。哈利路亚！

难道你要为死人行奇妙的事吗？难道阴魂会起来称谢你吗？细拉难道有人会在坟墓里述说你的慈爱，在地狱里述说你的信实吗？
