For Sheol cannot thank you; Death cannot praise you. Those who go down to the Pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.

People in the grave can’t praise you. Dead people can’t sing praise to you. Those who go down to the grave can’t hope for you to be faithful to them.

For Sheol does not thank you; death does not praise you; those who go down to the pit do not hope for your faithfulness.

For the dead cannot praise you; they cannot raise their voices in praise. Those who go down to the grave can no longer hope in your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.

For Sheol cannot praise thee, death cannot celebrate thee: They that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Indeed Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not praise you. Those who descend into the pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.

For Sheol can’t praise you. Death can’t celebrate you. Those who go down into the pit can’t hope for your truth.

Whatever your hands find to do, do with all your strength, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

For there is no remembrance of you in death; who can thank you in Sheol?

“ What gain is there in my death, if I go down to the Pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your truth?

They went down alive into Sheol with all that belonged to them. The earth closed over them, and they vanished from the assembly.

The wicked one is thrown down by his own sin, but the righteous one has a refuge in his death.

“ And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Besides all this, a great chasm has been fixed between us and you, so that those who want to pass over from here to you cannot; neither can those from there cross over to us.’“‘ Father,’ he said,‘ then I beg you to send him to my father’s house—because I have five brothers— to warn them, so that they won’t also come to this place of torment.’“ But Abraham said,‘ They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.’“‘ No, father Abraham,’ he said.‘ But if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’“ But he told him,‘ If they don’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.’”

But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

It is not the dead who praise the LORD, nor any of those descending into the silence of death.But we will bless the LORD, both now and forever. Hallelujah!
