How then will you repel one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

你们即使依靠埃及的战车和骑兵，又怎能打败我主人的一个最小的将领呢？

若不能，你怎能击退我主的臣仆中最小的军长呢？你竟倚靠埃及的战车和马兵吗？

如果不能，你怎能击退我主的臣仆中至小的一个军官呢？你竟敢依靠埃及的战车和马兵！

若不然，怎能打敗我主臣僕中最小的軍長呢？你竟倚靠埃及的戰車馬兵嗎？

若不然，怎能使我主臣僕中最小的一個軍官轉臉而逃呢？你難道要倚靠埃及的戰車和騎兵嗎？

若不然，怎能使我主臣僕中最小的一個軍官轉臉而逃呢？你難道要倚靠埃及的戰車和騎兵嗎？

你們即使依靠埃及的戰車和騎兵，又怎能打敗我主人的一個最小的將領呢？

若不能，你怎能擊退我主的臣僕中最小的軍長呢？你竟倚靠埃及的戰車和馬兵嗎？

若不然，你怎能使我主上最小的臣僕之中之一個軍長轉臉而逃呢？你竟倚靠埃及要得戰車和駿馬呀！

如果不能，你怎能擊退我主的臣僕中至小的一個軍官呢？你竟敢依靠埃及的戰車和馬兵！

不然、曷能禦我主之僕、軍長至微之一、豈恃埃及、得其車騎耶、

不能、曷能禦我主之僕、武士長至微之一乎、然則爾恃埃及、欲得車馬、亦奚以為、

既不能、何能禦我主王之僕中至微之武士長乎、爾恃伊及、望得戰車馬卒乎、亦徒然也、

How then can you repulse one officer of the least of my master’s officials, even though you are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

You are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen. You can’t drive away even the least important officer among my master’s officials.

How then can you repulse a single captain among the least of my master’s servants, when you trust in Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

With your tiny army, how can you think of challenging even the weakest contingent of my master’s troops, even with the help of Egypt’s chariots and charioteers?

How then can you drive back a single officer among the least of my master’s servants? How can you rely on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

How then can you drive back even one official of the least of my master’s servants and rely on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

How then canst thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

How then can you drive back a single officer among the weakest of my master’s officers and trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put thy trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

Certainly you will not refuse one of my master’s minor officials and trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen.

How then can you turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust on Egypt for chariots and for horsemen?

For he says,‘ Are not my princes altogether kings?

Who walk to go down to Egypt, And have not asked My advice, To strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, And to trust in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore the strength of Pharaoh Shall be your shame, And trust in the shadow of Egypt Shall be your humiliation.For his princes were at Zoan, And his ambassadors came to Hanes.They were all ashamed of a people who could not benefit them, Or be help or benefit, But a shame and also a reproach.”

Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory.

And you said,“ No, for we will flee on horses”— Therefore you shall flee! And,“ We will ride on swift horses”— Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift!One thousand shall flee at the threat of one, At the threat of five you shall flee, Till you are left as a pole on top of a mountain And as a banner on a hill.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together.

The horse is prepared for the day of battle, But deliverance is of the Lord.

How then will you repel one captain of the least of my master’s servants, and put your trust in Egypt for chariots and horsemen?

For the Egyptians shall help in vain and to no purpose. Therefore I have called her Rahab-Hem-Shebeth.

Why do you gad about so much to change your way? Also you shall be ashamed of Egypt as you were ashamed of Assyria.

But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall not return that way again.’

Look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.
