Your rigging hangs loose: The mast is not held secure, the sail is not spread. Then an abundance of spoils will be divided and even the lame will carry off plunder.

这些患痲风病的人来到军营的外边，他们进入其中一座帐幕，又吃又喝，并且从那里取去金子、银子和衣服，然后离去，把东西收藏起来。他们再回去，进入另一座帐幕，从那里拿走财物，去收藏起来。

但是神却拣选了世上愚笨的，使那些有智慧的羞愧。他也拣选了世上软弱的，使那些刚强的羞愧。

“带领大军的君王都逃跑了，逃跑了；住在家中的妇女分得了战利品。

在那里，威严的耶和华必作我们江河宽渠溢流之地。必没有荡桨摇橹的船只能在其上往来，威武的战船也不能经过。

列国啊！你们所掳掠的必被收取，像蚂蚱收取禾稼一样；蝗虫怎样为食物忙碌走动，人也怎样在掳物上忙乱。

你这毁灭人，自己却不被毁灭的；你这行事诡诈，别人倒不以诡诈待你的，有祸了！你刚停止毁灭人的时候，自己就要被毁灭；你刚停止行诡诈的时候，别人就必以诡诈待你。

水手们想要离船逃走，就把救生艇放在海上，假装要从船头抛锚的样子。保罗对百夫长和士兵说：“这些人若不留在船上，你们就性命难保！”于是士兵砍断救生艇的绳子，任它掉下去。

给你荡桨的已经把你荡到水深之处；东风在海的中心把你吹破。你的财富、货物、商品、水手、舵手、修补裂缝的、与你进行贸易的，在你那里所有的战士，并在你中间所有聚集的人、在你倾覆的日子，都必在海的中心沉下去。因你舵手的呼叫声，郊野都必震动。所有荡桨的、水手和航海的舵手，都必离开他们的船只，站在陆上。他们必为你放声痛哭，把尘土撒在自己的头上，在灰中打滚。他们必因你把头剃光，腰束麻布，为你痛心哭泣，苦苦悲哀。他们为你哀悼的时候，必为你作一首哀歌：有哪一座城，像在海中沉寂的推罗呢？你的货物从海上运出去的时候，曾使多国的人饱足；因你丰富的财物和商品，你使地上的君王都富裕。如今你在深水的地方，被海水冲破；你的商品和所有在你那里聚集的人，都沉下去了。

第三天又亲手把船上的用具扔掉。

与大卫一起去的那些人中，有些恶人和流氓说：“他们没有和我们一起去，我们就不把夺回来的战利品分给他们，只把他们各人的妻子和儿子还给他们，让他们领回去就是了。”大卫说：“兄弟们，耶和华赐给我们的，你们不可以这样作。他保护了我们，又把那些攻击我们的匪徒交在我们手里。这事谁要听从你们呢？下战场的得多少，留守武器的也得多少，应当大家平分。”
