祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，是因仗赖马匹，倚靠甚多的车辆，并倚靠强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。

有禍啊！那些下埃及去求幫助的！他們依靠馬匹，倚賴車輛，因為很多；他們倚賴馬兵，因為馬兵極強壯，他們卻不仰望以色列之聖者，永恆主、他們竟不求問！

禍哉！那些下埃及求幫助的人！他們依仗馬匹，依靠戰車眾多、馬兵強大，卻不仰望以色列的聖者，也不尋求耶和華。

彼往埃及求助、恃其車馬之眾、驍騎之強、不仰望以色列之聖者、不尋求耶和華、禍哉其人、

人往埃及、求其助己、見車馬眾多、驍騎勇猛、則以之是恃、不恃以色列族之聖主耶和華而求其眷祐、其禍必不遠矣、

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from the Lord.

How terrible it will be for those who go down to Egypt for help! How terrible for those who depend on horses! They trust in how many chariots they have. They trust in how strong their horsemen are. But they don’t look to the Holy One of Israel. They don’t ask the Lord for his help.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots because they are many and in horsemen because they are very strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the Lord!

What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and who depend on horses! They trust in the abundance of chariots and in the large number of horsemen. They do not look to the Holy One of Israel, and they do not seek the LORD.

Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead, those who rely on war horses, and trust in Egypt’s many chariots and in their many, many horsemen. But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel and do not seek help from the LORD.

有人稱揚車、有人稱揚馬、我惟稱揚主我天主之名、

惟王者不可多馬、恐因欲得多馬、使民歸於伊及、而主曾諭爾曰、不可復往此途、或作惟王不可多馬勿使民歸伊及以增益馬匹蓋主曾諭爾曰不得復往此途

爾云、不然、我必乘馬以奔馳、故爾必致奔逃、爾又云、必乘迅速之牲畜、故逐爾者亦必迅速、

主如是云、凡人心棄我、我原文作主倚恃人、倚恃肉體者、倚恃肉體者原文作以肉體為其臂者斯人有禍、

我民作惡二端、我乃活水之源、彼反棄我而自鑿井、其井滲漏、不能存水、

爾恃伊及國乎、豈知彼猶已折之葦、人若倚其上、必刺入其手、凡恃伊及王法老者亦若是、

主諭以色列族云、爾曹求我則可得生、毋求伯特利、毋往吉甲、毋赴別是巴、蓋吉甲人必見擄掠、伯特利必歸烏有、惟求主則可得生、否則恐主莅臨約瑟家、如火炎炎、焚燬伯特利、無人撲滅、爾曹判斷、不秉公義、使人受屈苦、若食茵蔯、爾曹拋棄公義於地、主造昴宿昴宿或作七星參宿、變陰翳為晨光、使白晝暗如昏夜、使海水氾濫於地、名為耶和華、

君王兵多、未必得勝、勇士力大、難自解救、恃馬之救、乃是虛然、馬雖力大、不能解救人、

摩西律法書所載之諸災、臨於我身、我猶未祈禱主我之天主、未悛改罪愆、未以主之真理為念、未以主之真理為念或作未學主之真理

既不能、何能禦我主王之僕中至微之武士長乎、爾恃伊及、望得戰車馬卒乎、亦徒然也、

斯民仍不歸向懲之者、不尋求萬有之主、

乃彼背叛巴比倫王、遣使至伊及、欲伊及王賜以馬匹軍旅、彼行是事、豈能亨通、豈能免難、背約之人、豈能得救、

主曰、禍哉此悖逆之子、自行其謀、不順從我、灌奠結盟、不循我心意、其罪益加、往伊及未請命於我、恃法老之勢力、恃法老之勢力或作恃法老為保障下同望於伊及得蔭庇、爾恃法老之勢力、終必抱愧、望於伊及得蔭庇、定蒙羞辱、其侯伯至瑣安、使臣詣哈內斯、見所恃之國、不能益己、則悉羞愧、彼國非但不能濟助、不能加益、反使人受辱蒙羞、牲畜負物往南方、經艱難險阻之地、或作論南方之獸有預言曰彼經艱難險阻之地其中有牝獅、猛獅、又有毒蛇、飛蛇、以其貨財載於驢背、以其寶物負於駝峰、攜至不能益己之國、恃伊及濟助、皆徒勞無益、故我論伊及、呼曰、故我論伊及呼曰或作故我稱伊及曰狂言徒作、安坐無動、

是時先見哈拿尼來見猶大王亞撒、謂之曰、爾恃亞蘭王、不恃主爾之天主、故亞蘭軍脫於爾手、

我儕不復求救於亞述、不復欲乘伊及之馬、不再稱己手所造者為我之天主、我之天主或作我儕之神無父之子、惟主矜恤、

在內城外城之間、掘地以蓄舊沼之水、惟造此事者、爾不仰望、自昔以來成成或作命此事者、爾不瞻顧、

當是日人必仰望造之者、目瞻以色列之聖主、不復仰望己手所作之壇、不復瞻己指所製之亞舍拉亞舍拉或作木偶及日像、

惟知宴樂、彈琴、鼓瑟、擊鼓、吹笛、飲酒、不顧主之經綸、不察主手所作、

籲主名者無人、盡意賴主盡意賴主或作奮勉恃主者無人、主掩面不顧我、緣我罪愆、主使我消亡、

盡爇若鑪、燬其侯伯、其諸君王、皆已殞亡、其中無人籲我、

彼離棄我、必受禍、違逆我、必遭災、我欲救贖之、彼反言誑以逆我、彼哀號於床、不以誠心籲我、因絕穀酒而和會、仍違逆我、我雖督責之、扶助其手、彼終辜負我、彼所歸誠者、非至上之主、彼如已翻之弓、其侯伯殞亡於刃、因其口出狂言、必因此為伊及國之人所姍笑、

其地金銀豐裕、貨財無盡、其地馬匹眾多、車乘無數、

爾以珍油與多香膏饋王、遠遣爾使、自卑自下、直至示阿勒、示阿勒見五章十四節小註

彼不宜返返或作往伊及、或作彼豈不復返伊及亞述必為其王、緣不願悔改、
