Your singing will be like that on the night of a holy festival, and your heart will rejoice like one who walks to the music of a flute, going up to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel.

And you will sing as on the night you celebrate a holy festival; your hearts will rejoice as when people playing pipes go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

You will sing as you do on the night you celebrate a holy feast. Your hearts will be filled with joy. You will be as joyful as people playing their flutes as they go up to the mountain of the Lord. He is the Rock of Israel.

You shall have a song as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one sets out to the sound of the flute to go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

But the people of God will sing a song of joy, like the songs at the holy festivals. You will be filled with joy, as when a flutist leads a group of pilgrims to Jerusalem, the mountain of the Lord— to the Rock of Israel.

You will have songs as in the night when you keep the festival, And gladness of heart as when one marches to the sound of the flute, To go to the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel.

You shall have a song As in the night when a holy festival is kept, And gladness of heart as when one goes with a flute, To come into the mountain of the Lord, To the Mighty One of Israel.

You will sing as you do in the evening when you are celebrating a festival. You will be happy like one who plays a flute as he goes to the mountain of the LORD, the Rock who shelters Israel.

You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept, and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to Yahweh’s mountain, to Israel’s Rock.

I remember this as I pour out my heart: how I walked with many, leading the festive procession to the house of God, with joyful and thankful shouts.

and many peoples will come and say,“ Come, let’s go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us about his ways so that we may walk in his paths.” For instruction will go out of Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

Trust in the LORD forever, because in the LORD, the LORD himself, is an everlasting rock!

The Rock— his work is perfect; all his ways are just. A faithful God, without bias, he is righteous and true.

Then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem turned back with Jehoshaphat their leader, returning joyfully to Jerusalem, for the LORD enabled them to rejoice over their enemies.So they came into Jerusalem to the LORD’s temple with harps, lyres, and trumpets.

For who is God besides the LORD? And who is a rock? Only our God.

Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD. They said: I will sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted; he has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name.He threw Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea; the elite of his officers were drowned in the Red Sea.The floods covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.LORD, your right hand is glorious in power. The watery depths congealed in the heart of the sea.The enemy said:“ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil. My desire will be gratified at their expense. I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.”But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.LORD, who is like you among the gods? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?You stretched out your right hand, and the earth swallowed them.With your faithful love, you will lead the people you have redeemed; you will guide them to your holy dwelling with your strength.When the peoples hear, they will shudder; anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified; trembling will seize the leaders of Moab; all the inhabitants of Canaan will panic;terror and dread will fall on them. They will be as still as a stone because of your powerful arm until your people pass by, LORD, until the people whom you purchased pass by.You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your possession; LORD, you have prepared the place for your dwelling; Lord, your hands have established the sanctuary.The LORD will reign forever and ever!When Pharaoh’s horses with his chariots and horsemen went into the sea, the LORD brought the water of the sea back over them. But the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground.Then the prophetess Miriam, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women came out following her with tambourines and dancing.Miriam sang to them: Sing to the LORD, for he is highly exalted; he has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.

Rejoice during your festival— you, your son and daughter, your male and female slave, as well as the Levite, the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow within your city gates.

This is what the LORD says:“ Go, buy a potter’s clay jar. Take some of the elders of the people and some of the leading priestsand go out to Ben Hinnom Valley near the entrance of the Potsherd Gate. Proclaim there the words I speak to you.Say,‘ Hear the word of the LORD, kings of Judah and residents of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such a disaster on this place that everyone who hears about it will shudderbecause they have abandoned me and made this a foreign place. They have burned incense in it to other gods that they, their ancestors, and the kings of Judah have never known. They have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.They have built high places to Baal on which to burn their children in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, something I have never commanded or mentioned; I never entertained the thought.“‘ Therefore, look, the days are coming— this is the LORD’s declaration— when this place will no longer be called Topheth and Ben Hinnom Valley, but Slaughter Valley.I will spoil the plans of Judah and Jerusalem in this place. I will make them fall by the sword before their enemies, by the hand of those who intend to take their life. I will provide their corpses as food for the birds of the sky and for the wild animals of the land.

It will be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must practice self-denial. You are to observe your Sabbath from the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening.”

You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble. You surround me with joyful shouts of deliverance. Selah

Praise him with the blast of a ram’s horn; praise him with harp and lyre.Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and flute.Praise him with resounding cymbals; praise him with clashing cymbals.

a sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride, and the voice of those saying, Give thanks to the LORD of Armies, for the LORD is good; his faithful love endures forever as they bring thanksgiving sacrifices to the temple of the LORD. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the LORD.

Sacrifice the Passover animal only at the place where the LORD your God chooses to have his name dwell. Do this in the evening as the sun sets at the same time of day you departed from Egypt.

Sing for joy to God our strength; shout in triumph to the God of Jacob.Lift up a song— play the tambourine, the melodious lyre, and the harp.Blow the ram’s horn on the day of our feasts during the new moon and during the full moon.For this is a statute for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob.

On that day you will say:“ I will give thanks to you, LORD, although you were angry with me. Your anger has turned away, and you have comforted me.

At Abinadab’s house they set the ark of God on a new cart. Uzzah and Ahio were guiding the cart.David and all Israel were dancing with all their might before God with songs and with lyres, harps, tambourines, cymbals, and trumpets.

On that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city. Salvation is established as walls and ramparts.

But their“ rock” is not like our Rock, as even our enemies concede.

They sang the song of God’s servant Moses and the song of the Lamb: Great and awe-inspiring are your works, Lord God, the Almighty; just and true are your ways, King of the nations.

Come, let’s shout joyfully to the LORD, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation!Let’s enter his presence with thanksgiving; let’s shout triumphantly to him in song.

After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
