耶和華說：‘誰去引誘亞哈，使他上基列的拉末陣亡呢？’有說這樣的，有說那樣的。後來有一個靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：‘我去引誘他。’耶和華問他：‘你用甚麼方法呢？’他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’

你不可像無知的騾馬，如果不用嚼環轡頭勒住牠們，牠們就不肯走近。

萬軍之耶和華必用雷轟、地震、大聲、旋風、暴風和吞滅人的火燄來懲罰他們。

因為以色列家的人中，或是在以色列寄居的外族人中，凡與我疏遠，把他們的偶像接到心裡去，把那陷自己在罪孽中的絆腳石放在自己面前，卻又來見先知，要為自己求問我的，我耶和華必親自報應他；我必向那人變臉，使他成為別人的鑒戒和譏笑的對象；我要把他從我子民中剪除；你們就知道我是耶和華。如果有先知被欺騙說一句話，是我耶和華任那先知受欺騙的；我必伸手攻擊他，把他從我子民以色列中除滅。

耶和華斥責一發，你鼻孔的氣一出，海底就出現，大地的根基也顯露。

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

鞭子是為了打馬，嚼環是為了勒驢；刑杖是為了打愚昧人的背。

押沙龍和以色列眾人都說：“亞基人戶篩的謀略比亞希多弗的好。”因為耶和華定意要破壞亞希多弗的好計謀，為要降災禍給押沙龍。

耶和華說：“現在我要起來，現在我要興起，現在我要被人尊崇。你們所懷的是糠秕，所生的是碎稭；我的氣息必像火一般吞滅你們。眾民必像燃燒的石灰，又像被割下的荊棘，在火中焚燒。

因為神的道是活的，是有效的，比一切兩刃的劍更鋒利，甚至可以刺入剖開魂與靈，關節與骨髓，並且能夠辨明心中的思想和意念。

你的智慧人在哪裡呢？萬軍之耶和華向埃及所定的旨意是怎樣的？就讓他們告訴你，使你知道吧！瑣安的領袖都變為愚昧，挪弗的領袖都受了欺騙；那些在埃及支派中作房角石的，使埃及人走錯了路。耶和華讓歪曲的靈攙入埃及當中，以致他們使埃及一切所作的都有謬誤，好像醉酒的人嘔吐的時候，東倒西歪一樣。

“西門，西門，撒但設法要得著你們，好篩你們像篩麥子一樣；

我要以公平為準繩，以公義為線鉈；冰雹必把謊言的遮蔽沖去，大水必漫過庇護所。”你們與死亡所立的約要廢除，你們與陰間所結的盟必立不住；刑罰的鞭子掃過的時候，你們就必被踐踏。
