It will be like a hungry one who dreams he is eating, then wakes and is still hungry; and like a thirsty one who dreams he is drinking, then wakes and is still thirsty, longing for water. So it will be for all the many nations who go to battle against Mount Zion.

又必像饥饿的人梦中吃饭，醒了仍觉腹空；或像口渴的人梦中喝水，醒了仍觉发昏，心里想喝。攻击锡安山列国的群众也必如此。

又像饥饿的人在梦中吃饭，醒了仍觉饥肠辘辘；或像口渴的人在梦中喝水，醒了仍觉发昏，心里想喝。攻击锡安山列国的军队也必如此。

又像饥饿的人在梦中吃饭，醒了仍觉饥肠辘辘；或像口渴的人在梦中喝水，醒了仍觉发昏，心里想喝。攻击锡安山列国的军队也必如此。

又必像飢餓的人夢中吃飯，醒了仍覺腹空；或像口渴的人夢中喝水，醒了仍覺發昏，心裏想喝。攻擊錫安山列國的羣眾也必如此。

又像飢餓的人在夢中吃飯，醒了仍覺飢腸轆轆；或像口渴的人在夢中喝水，醒了仍覺發昏，心裏想喝。攻擊錫安山列國的軍隊也必如此。

也必像肚子餓的人在作夢；夢見在喫呢！趕到醒來，肚子仍覺虛空！或像口渴的人在作夢；夢見在喝呢！趕到醒來，仍覺疲乏，心裏仍渴慕着。那攻擊錫安山的列國軍眾也必這樣。

他們像飢餓的人在夢中吃飯，醒來後仍然飢餓；又像口渴的人在夢中喝水，醒來後仍然口渴、發昏。攻打錫安山的萬國眾軍也必如此。

又如飢者夢食、醒而枵腹、渴者夢飲、醒而困憊、其心仍有所欲、列邦之眾攻錫安山者、亦若是也、○

若饑者夢食、醒而依然枵腹、若渴者夢飲、醒而依然渴乏、列國之眾、攻擊郇山、亦將若是。

如饑者夢食、醒而仍覺腹空、又如渴者夢飲、醒而仍覺困憊煩渴、攻擊郇山之列國軍眾、亦將若是、

as when a hungry person dreams of eating, but awakens hungry still; as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking, but awakens faint and thirsty still. So will it be with the hordes of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion.

It will be as when a hungry person dreams of eating, but wakes up still hungry. It will be as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking, but wakes up weak and still thirsty. In the same way, the armies from all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will disappear.

As when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he is eating, and awakes with his hunger not satisfied, or as when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he is drinking, and awakes faint, with his thirst not quenched, so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion.

A hungry person dreams of eating but wakes up still hungry. A thirsty person dreams of drinking but is still faint from thirst when morning comes. So it will be with your enemies, with those who attack Mount Zion.”

It will be as when a hungry person dreams— And behold, he is eating; But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied, Or as when a thirsty person dreams— And behold, he is drinking, But when he awakens, behold, he is faint And his thirst is not quenched. So will the multitude of all the nations be Who wage war against Mount Zion.

It shall even be as when a hungry man dreams, And look— he eats; But he awakes, and his soul is still empty; Or as when a thirsty man dreams, And look— he drinks; But he awakes, and indeed he is faint, And his soul still craves: So the multitude of all the nations shall be, Who fight against Mount Zion.”

And it shall be as when a hungry man dreameth, and, behold, he eateth; but he awaketh, and his soul is empty: or as when a thirsty man dreameth, and, behold, he drinketh; but he awaketh, and, behold, he is faint, and his soul hath appetite: so shall the multitude of all the nations be, that fight against mount Zion.

It will be like a hungry man dreaming that he is eating, only to awaken and find that his stomach is empty. It will be like a thirsty man dreaming that he is drinking, only to awaken and find that he is still weak and his thirst unquenched. So it will be for the horde from all the nations that fight against Mount Zion.

It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn’t satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

The ironworker labors over the coals, shapes the idol with hammers, and works it with his strong arm. Also he grows hungry and his strength fails; he doesn’t drink water and is faint.

and the LORD sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader, and commander in the camp of the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his land. He went to the temple of his god, and there some of his own children struck him down with the sword.

Like one waking from a dream, Lord, when arising, you will despise their image.

But this is not what he intends; this is not what he plans. It is his intent to destroy and to cut off many nations.For he says,“ Aren’t all my commanders kings?Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?As my hand seized the kingdoms of worthless images, kingdoms whose idols exceeded those of Jerusalem and Samaria,and as I did to Samaria and its worthless images will I not also do to Jerusalem and its idols?”But when the Lord finishes all his work against Mount Zion and Jerusalem, he will say,“ I will punish the king of Assyria for his arrogant acts and the proud look in his eyes.”For he said: I have done this by my own strength and wisdom, for I am clever. I abolished the borders of nations and plundered their treasures; like a mighty warrior, I subjugated the inhabitants.My hand has reached out, as if into a nest, to seize the wealth of the nations. Like one gathering abandoned eggs, I gathered the whole earth. No wing fluttered; no beak opened or chirped.Does an ax exalt itself above the one who chops with it? Does a saw magnify itself above the one who saws with it? It would be like a rod waving the ones who lift it! It would be like a staff lifting the one who isn’t wood!Therefore the Lord GOD of Armies will inflict an emaciating disease on the well-fed of Assyria, and he will kindle a burning fire under its glory.
