民必降格、聲勿揚、若為神所憑者、其音微細、若從地出、

爾必卑降、伏地而言、語音微細、出自塵土、爾聲如鬼聲自地而出、從塵中唧唧出言、

Brought low, you will speak from the ground; your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will come ghostlike from the earth; out of the dust your speech will whisper.

You will be brought down to the grave. You will speak from deep down inside the ground. Your words will be barely heard out of the dust. Your voice will sound like the voice of a ghost coming from under the ground. Your words will sound like a whisper out of the dust.”

And you will be brought low; from the earth you shall speak, and from the dust your speech will be bowed down; your voice shall come from the ground like the voice of a ghost, and from the dust your speech shall whisper.

Then deep from the earth you will speak; from low in the dust your words will come. Your voice will whisper from the ground like a ghost conjured up from the grave.

有人讓你們去求問那些念念有詞的巫師和術士，你們不要去。你們要去求問你們的上帝，活人的事怎能求問死人呢？

耶路撒冷必崩潰，猶大必敗落，因為他們的言行冒犯耶和華，蔑視榮耀的主。

我們仆倒在地，橫臥在塵土中。

到那日，狂妄的人將被挫敗，驕傲的人將遭貶抑；唯獨耶和華將受尊崇。因為萬軍之耶和華已定了日子，要懲罰一切驕傲狂妄和自高自大的人，使他們淪為卑賤；祂必毀滅黎巴嫩高大的香柏樹和巴珊的橡樹，毀滅一切崇山峻嶺，毀滅高聳的城樓和堅固的城牆，毀滅他施的商船和一切華美的船隻。到那日，狂妄的人必被挫敗，驕傲的人必遭貶抑，唯獨耶和華受尊崇。偶像必被徹底剷除。耶和華使大地震動的時候，眾人躲進岩穴，藏入地洞，逃避祂的憤怒和威榮。到那日，眾人必把造來敬拜的金銀偶像丟給田鼠和蝙蝠。耶和華使大地震動的時候，眾人必躲進山洞和岩縫，逃避祂的憤怒和威榮。

我必把這杯給苦待你的人，他們曾對你說，『趴下，我們好從你身上走過。』你曾把你的背當作地面，當作街道任人踐踏。」

她的裙子沾滿污穢，她未曾想過自己的結局。她的敗落無比淒慘，無人安慰。她哭喊道：「耶和華啊，仇敵已經獲勝，求你垂顧我的苦難！」
