For tyrants will disappear, those who taunt will vanish, and all those who love to do wrong will be eliminated–

因为强横者必归于无有，讥讽者必灭绝，所有伺机做坏事的都必被剪除。

因為，強暴人已歸無有，褻慢人已經滅絕，一切找機會作孽的都被剪除。

因為殘暴的人歸於無有，傲慢的人已經滅絕，一切存心作惡的都被剪除。

因為強橫者必歸於無有，譏諷者必滅絕，所有伺機做壞事的都必被剪除。

蓋強暴者已滅、侮慢者已亡、乘機為惡者盡絕、

強暴者已滅、侮慢者已亡、聽訟者枉法以害貧、健訟者誣良以害義、此皆為惡之徒也、茲已俱絕、

蓋強暴者已已或作必下同滅、侮慢者已亡、務惡者已絕、

The ruthless will vanish, the mockers will disappear, and all who have an eye for evil will be cut down—

Those who don’t show any pity will vanish. Those who make fun of others will disappear. All those who look for ways to do what is evil will be cut off.

For the ruthless shall come to nothing and the scoffer cease, and all who watch to do evil shall be cut off,

The scoffer will be gone, the arrogant will disappear, and those who plot evil will be killed.

For the ruthless one will vanish, the scorner will disappear, and all those who lie in wait with evil intent will be killed—

For the ruthless will come to an end and the scorner will be finished, Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be eliminated,

For the terrible one is brought to nothing, The scornful one is consumed, And all who watch for iniquity are cut off—

For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scoffer ceaseth, and all they that watch for iniquity are cut off;

For the ruthless one will vanish, the scorner will disappear, and all those who lie in wait with evil intent will be killed—

For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off—

Those who devise sinful plans are as good as dead, those who dream about doing evil as they lie in bed. As soon as morning dawns they carry out their plans, because they have the power to do so.

The Pharisees( who loved money) heard all this and ridiculed him.

Therefore, listen to the LORD’s word, you who mock, you rulers of these people who reside in Jerusalem!For you say,“ We have made a treaty with death, with Sheol we have made an agreement. When the overwhelming judgment sweeps by it will not reach us. For we have made a lie our refuge, we have hidden ourselves in a deceitful word.”Therefore, this is what the sovereign master, the LORD, says:“ Look, I am laying a stone in Zion, an approved stone, set in place as a precious cornerstone for the foundation. The one who maintains his faith will not panic.I will make justice the measuring line, fairness the plumb line; hail will sweep away the unreliable refuge, the floodwaters will overwhelm the hiding place.Your treaty with death will be dissolved; your agreement with Sheol will not last. When the overwhelming judgment sweeps by, you will be overrun by it.Whenever it sweeps by, it will overtake you; indeed, every morning it will sweep by, it will come through during the day and the night.” When this announcement is understood, it will cause nothing but terror.For the bed is too short to stretch out on, and the blanket is too narrow to wrap around oneself.For the LORD will rise up, as he did at Mount Perazim, he will rouse himself, as he did in the Valley of Gibeon, to accomplish his work, his peculiar work, to perform his task, his strange task.So now, do not mock, or your chains will become heavier! For I have heard a message about decreed destruction, from the sovereign master, the LORD who commands armies, against the entire land.

But the horde of invaders will be like fine dust, the horde of tyrants like chaff that is blown away. It will happen suddenly, in a flash.

I have given orders to my chosen soldiers; I have summoned the warriors through whom I will vent my anger, my boasting, arrogant ones.

They watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they could accuse him.So he said to the man who had the withered hand,“ Stand up among all these people.”Then he said to them,“ Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath, or evil, to save a life or destroy it?” But they were silent.After looking around at them in anger, grieved by the hardness of their hearts, he said to the man,“ Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.So the Pharisees went out immediately and began plotting with the Herodians, as to how they could assassinate him.

Then they watched him carefully and sent spies who pretended to be sincere. They wanted to take advantage of what he might say so that they could deliver him up to the authority and jurisdiction of the governor.Thus they asked him,“ Teacher, we know that you speak and teach correctly, and show no partiality, but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth.Is it right for us to pay the tribute tax to Caesar or not?”But Jesus perceived their deceit and said to them,

“ After these things, as I was watching in the night visions a fourth beast appeared– one dreadful, terrible, and very strong. It had two large rows of iron teeth. It devoured and crushed, and anything that was left it trampled with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that came before it, and it had ten horns.

Even Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, dressing him in elegant clothes, Herod sent him back to Pilate.

Look, I am about to empower the Babylonians, that ruthless and greedy nation. They sweep across the surface of the earth, seizing dwelling places that do not belong to them.They are frightening and terrifying; they decide for themselves what is right.

No one is concerned about justice; no one sets forth his case truthfully. They depend on false words and tell lies; they conceive of oppression and give birth to sin.

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying,“ The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the ruling authority of his Christ, have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, the one who accuses them day and night before our God, has been thrown down.

The people also stood there watching, but the rulers ridiculed him, saying,“ He saved others. Let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, his chosen one!”

But the president of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd,“ There are six days on which work should be done! So come and be healed on those days, and not on the Sabbath day.”Then the Lord answered him,“ You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from its stall, and lead it to water?Then shouldn’t this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be released from this imprisonment on the Sabbath day?”When he said this all his adversaries were humiliated, but the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things he was doing.

For you are a protector for the poor, a protector for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the rainstorm, a shade from the heat. Though the breath of tyrants is like a winter rainstorm,like heat in a dry land, you humble the boasting foreigners. Just as the shadow of a cloud causes the heat to subside, so he causes the song of tyrants to cease.

Indeed,” says the LORD,“ captives will be taken from a warrior; spoils will be rescued from a conqueror. I will oppose your adversary and I will rescue your children.

Why do you forget the LORD, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?

The experts in the law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a reason to accuse him.

Now some of the experts in the law were sitting there, turning these things over in their minds:“ Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

“ Then I wanted to know the meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others. It was very dreadful, with two rows of iron teeth and bronze claws, and it devoured, crushed, and trampled anything that was left with its feet.I also wanted to know the meaning of the ten horns on its head, and of that other horn which came up and before which three others fell. This was the horn that had eyes and a mouth speaking arrogant things, whose appearance was more formidable than the others.While I was watching, that horn began to wage war against the holy ones and was defeating them,until the Ancient of Days arrived and judgment was rendered in favor of the holy ones of the Most High. Then the time came for the holy ones to take possession of the kingdom.“ This is what he told me:‘ The fourth beast means that there will be a fourth kingdom on earth that will differ from all the other kingdoms. It will devour all the earth and will trample and crush it.The ten horns mean that ten kings will arise from that kingdom. Another king will arise after them, but he will be different from the earlier ones. He will humiliate three kings.He will speak words against the Most High. He will harass the holy ones of the Most High continually. His intention will be to change times established by law. They will be delivered into his hand For a time, times, and half a time.
