The meek also shall increase[ their] joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Once more the humble will rejoice in the Lord; the needy will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Those who aren’t proud will once again find their joy in the Lord. And those who are in need will find their joy in the Holy One of Israel.

The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.

The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the Lord. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The humble will have joy after joy in the LORD, and the poor people will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

The afflicted also will increase their joy in the Lord, And the needy of mankind will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

The Spirit of the Lord GOD[ is] upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to[ them that are] bound;

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.

Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

Blessed[ are] the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed[ are] the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Rejoice in the Lord alway:[ and] again I say, Rejoice.

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh[ himself] with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth[ herself] with her jewels.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

Who[ is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.This wisdom descendeth not from above, but[ is] earthly, sensual, devilish.For where envying and strife[ is], there[ is] confusion and every evil work.But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle,[ and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set[ him] in safety[ from him that] puffeth at him.

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

What shall[ one] then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD,[ and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.[ When] the poor and needy seek water, and[ there is] none,[ and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed[ is] not grievous, but for you[ it is] safe.Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name[ is] Holy; I dwell in the high and holy[ place], with him also[ that is] of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’S anger.

Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall[ not] perish for ever.

For all those[ things] hath mine hand made, and all those[ things] have been, saith the LORD: but to this[ man] will I look,[ even] to[ him that is] poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble,[ are called]:But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen,[ yea], and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:If so be ye have tasted that the Lord[ is] gracious.

If[ there be] therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love,[ being] of one accord, of one mind.[ Let] nothing[ be done] through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make[ them] afraid.Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel,[ even] the LORD,[ is] in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not:[ and to] Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.The LORD thy God in the midst of thee[ is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.I will gather[ them that are] sorrowful for the solemn assembly,[ who] are of thee,[ to whom] the reproach of it[ was] a burden.
