那麼你看吧，我對這人民就要再施展奇妙之事了，就是奇妙又奇妙之事：他們有才智的人的才智必然滅沒，他們聰明人的聰明必躲躲藏藏。』

因此，看哪，我要再次向這子民行奇妙的事，是奇妙又奇妙的事；他們智慧人的智慧必會消亡，有悟性之人的悟性必被隱藏！」

故我將行奇事於斯民、奇之最奇、智者亡其智、聰者蔽其聰、○

故我必行異跡於民間、神妙莫測、智者窒其慧、明者塞其聰、

故我必待斯民以奇異、奇異又奇異、使其智慧者喪智慧、明哲者失明哲、○

Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.”

So once more I will shock these people with many wonderful acts. I will destroy the wisdom of those who think they are so wise. I will do away with the cleverness of those who think they are so smart.”

therefore, behold, I will again do wonderful things with this people, with wonder upon wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the discernment of their discerning men shall be hidden.”

Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites with amazing wonders. The wisdom of the wise will pass away, and the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear.”

Therefore, I will again confound these people with wonder after wonder. The wisdom of their wise will vanish, and the perception of their perceptive will be hidden.

Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; And the wisdom of their wise men will perish, And the understanding of their men who have understanding will be concealed.”

Therefore I will again do an amazing thing for these people– an absolutely extraordinary deed. Wise men will have nothing to say, the sages will have no explanations.”

耶和華說：「你們環顧列國，仔細察看，必驚奇不已，因為我要在你們的時代行一件事，即使你們聽說了也不會相信。

耶和華必像在毗拉心山一樣挺身而出，像在基遍谷一樣發怒，要完成祂奇異的作為，成就祂不尋常的工作。

論到以東，萬軍之耶和華說：「提幔再沒有智者了嗎？謀士已無計可施了嗎？他們都失去智慧了嗎？

祂說：「你去告訴以色列人，『你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。』要讓這些人心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到醫治。」

我們知道上帝曾對摩西講話，至於這個人，我們不知道祂是從哪裡來的。」那人說：「祂開了我的眼睛，你們竟不知道祂從哪裡來，真是奇怪。我們知道上帝不聽罪人的禱告，只聽那些敬拜祂、遵行祂旨意者的禱告。從創世以來，從未聽過有人能把天生失明的人醫好。如果這個人不是從上帝那裡來的，就什麼也不能做。」法利賽人斥責他：「你這生來就深陷罪中的傢伙，居然敢教導我們！」於是把他趕了出去。

正如聖經上說：「我要摧毀智者的智慧，廢棄明哲的聰明。」這個世代所謂的智者、學者、雄辯家在哪裡？上帝豈不是把這世上的智慧都變成愚昧了嗎？上帝運用自己的智慧不讓世人憑自己的智慧去認識祂，祂樂意採用世人看為愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，這就是上帝的智慧。猶太人要看神蹟，希臘人尋求智慧，但我們傳講被釘十字架的基督。這對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外族人來說是愚昧的。但對於蒙召的人，無論是猶太人還是希臘人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。

耶和華說：「到那天，我要毀滅以東的智者，除掉以掃山上的明哲。

耶穌說：「我為了審判來到這世界，使瞎眼的可以看見，使看得見的反成了瞎眼的。」有些跟祂在一起的法利賽人聽了這句話，就問：「難道我們也瞎了眼嗎？」耶穌說：「如果你們是瞎眼的，就沒有罪了。但現在你們自稱看得見，所以你們的罪還在。」

我告訴你們，以前有許多先知和君王渴望看見你們所看見的，聽見你們所聽見的，卻未能如願。」

天空的鸛鳥尚且知道來去的季節，斑鳩、燕子和白鶴也遵守遷徙的時間，但我的子民卻不認識耶和華的法則。「你們怎能說，『我們有智慧，因為我們有耶和華的律法』？事實上，律法教師撒謊的筆把律法篡改了。智者必蒙羞辱，受驚嚇，被捉拿。看啊，他們既棄掉耶和華的話，哪裡還有智慧可言呢？

祂使智者中了自己的詭計，使奸徒的計謀迅速落空。

埃及王聰明的謀士——瑣安的首領們變得愚不可及。他們怎敢在埃及王面前自稱是古聖先賢的子孫呢？埃及王啊，你的智者在哪裡呢？讓他們把萬軍之耶和華對付埃及的計劃告訴你吧！瑣安的首領愚昧，挪弗的首領糊塗。他們是埃及的房角石，卻把埃及人引入歧途。耶和華使錯謬的靈進入他們當中，使他們像又嘔又吐、東倒西歪的醉漢，做什麼都錯誤百出。

祂說，『你去告訴百姓，你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不領悟。因為這百姓心靈麻木，耳朵發背，眼睛昏花，以致眼睛看不見，耳朵聽不見，心裡不明白，無法回心轉意，得不到我的醫治。』

他們雖然明知有上帝，卻不把祂當作上帝，既不將榮耀歸給祂，也不感謝祂。他們的思想因此變得荒謬無用，無知的心也變得昏暗不明。他們自以為聰明，其實愚不可及，

你們駐足驚奇吧！你們自我蒙蔽，繼續瞎眼吧！你們醉了，但不是因為酒；你們東倒西歪，但不是因為烈酒。因為耶和華把沉睡的靈傾倒在你們身上，祂封住你們的眼睛，蓋住你們的頭。你們的眼睛就是先知，你們的頭就是先見。

因為這世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如聖經上說：「上帝使智者中了自己的詭計。」

既然他們故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們心思敗壞，做不當做的事。

埃及人必灰心喪志，我必破壞他們的計謀。他們必求問偶像、巫師、靈媒和術士。
