耕而播種者、豈日服於耕乎、豈恆墾而耙其土乎、

農夫於田、終日勤勞、豈徒耕耘、亦將播種、

農夫欲播種、豈終日終日或作日日下同耕地、終日墾地乎、

When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?

Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? Does he continually open and harrow his ground?

Does a farmer always plow and never sow? Is he forever cultivating the soil and never planting?

Does the plowman plow every day to plant seed? Does he continuously break up and cultivate the soil?

Does the plowman keep plowing all day to sow? Does he keep turning his soil and breaking the clods?

Doth he that ploweth to sow plow continually? doth he continually open and harrow his ground?

Here is what the Lord is telling the people of Judah and Jerusalem. He says,“ Your hearts are as hard as a field that has not been plowed. So change your ways and produce good crops. Do not plant seeds among thorns.

Ephraim was like a well- trained young cow. It loved to thresh grain. So I will put a yoke on its pretty neck. I will make Ephraim do hard work. Judah also must plow. So all the people of Jacob must break up the ground.Your hearts are as hard as a field that has not been plowed. If you change your ways, you will produce good crops. So plant the seeds of doing what is right. Then you will harvest the fruit of your faithful love. It is time to seek the Lord. When you do, he will come and shower his blessings on you.
